Why we do what we do

Recently we became aware of an opportunity to join ReadyForce’s Hacker Tour 2012 of top US Computer Science and Engineering schools, as they reach out to graduating students interested in opportunities with startups. We were offered a position as one of two non-profits on the tour, and we gladly accepted.

As we begin to bring like-minded folks into Hypothesis, we realized it would be helpful for people to know why we’re involved.

Last week, I took the opportunity to sit down with Randall and ask him a few questions about how he got started programming (at 7!), why he became attracted to the open source community and why Hypothes.is was intriguing to him.

Then we turned the cameras around quid pro quo.

Thanks to the inimitable Nick Hemenway for the quick edit as usual.
