      This stanza is the end both literally and figuratively. The sun that arises will descend, giving / allowing one to reflect on how short life truly is. We see this in the above stanza as well, where it says “and soon they all say, ‘such, such were the joys…” a reflection on how everything inevitably has its end, including us.

      Speaking to young women, telling them to marry before they become undesirable. If they wait too long, they will be waiting even longer because they will pass their desirable age. Relates back to the “this same flower that smiles today will be dying tomorrow” saying that at one point you will lose your ”flower” or “your gift”, might as well get married young while many people want/desire you before you enter the undesirable age.

      Virginity is usually described as being a flower, virginity is something will be here for one day but gone the next. Essentially saying don’t waste your time
