    1. It gives us more evidence and more confidence that these maternal mortality rates that we're seeing in the United States -- that are still higher than those of our peer countries -- truly represent a critical public health issue and serious concern for the health of women," she said.

By having role models like Beyoncé and Serena Williams people who a lot of people look up too to have gone through this as black women or women of color this really does give us more evidence that a lot of colored people do die from there pregnancies and a lot of them I think can be saved but there life is in a persons hand who doesn’t want to help them because they are different.

    2. Maternal mortality is a complex problem with disparities in outcomes stemming from many factors, including access to care, standardization of care, bias, and racism.

This is the death of a woman while pregnant or within 42 days of termination of pregnancy. All these things include if it is a person of color and they don’t want to take care of them while they are pregnant and many other things following that. People judge other people no matter what even if they are on there death bed they have the choice to save them or not it is all in their hands.

    3. You would think that maternal mortality would be a very simple thing to measure -- a mother dies -- but it can be a bit tricky to determine whether a woman was pregnant or that the death was related to the pregnancy," he said.

This is the information all put together to find out whether this mother died because of the “side effects” or just dying from her pregnancy giving birth. Though This information could be wrong.

    1. It is partly a result of debates, in 2010, between conservative and liberal members of the Texas Board of Education over whether state standards should mention cultural movements like hip-hop and country music. Their compromise was to ask teachers and textbook publishers to address “both the positive and negative impacts” of artistic movements.

Mentioning cultural movements like Hip-Hop and county music in student education, teaches diversity and cultural awareness. It is important for students to learn about different cultural movements to understand how specific cultures paved their way through history. Including topics like these in education teaches students that these cultural movements are a form of expression whether it be good or bad.

    2. All the members of the California panel were educators selected by the State Board of Education, whose members were appointed by former Gov. Jerry Brown, a Democrat. The Texas panel, appointed by the Republican-dominated State Board of Education, was made up of educators, parents, business representatives and a Christian pastor and politician.

The Texas panel showed it was more diverse in dealing with the education standards due to the variety of backgrounds that made up the panel. California panel was just of educators who didn't have a strong stand with the community needs like Texas did with parents and business representatives who has first hand knowledge of what the society as a whole would benefit from.

    3. President Trump warned against a “radical left” that wants to “erase American history, crush religious liberty, indoctrinate our students with left-wing ideology.” The left has pushed for students to encounter history more from the ground up than from the top down, with a focus on the experiences of marginalized groups such as enslaved people, women and Native Americans.

President Trump's discrepancy on not wanting to change American history has no faults and does not need to be changed. In my opinion, he feels that the foundations that have been set forth are the backbones to the American fabric. That's evident in his disapproval of confederate statues and symbols on government building. Those symbols keep racism and segregation alive and well. We as society has to move past those symbols and learn to get along as one nation with out boundaries. Keeping those and wanting them to remain in place sends the wrong message to the American people.

    1. To strengthen the student’s grammar, spelling, and vocabulary

I am excited for this because I love to expand my vocabulary. And I think that is very important to have strong vocabulary when speaking to someone.
