    1. CONCLUSION PART 2: YOUR “SO WHAT” PARAGRAPH

This is essential in an essay because it brings your whole writing back to the topic and this is the last thing your reader will read. If the conclusion isn't strong, it leaves the reader with so-so impressions.

    1. Writing Essaysby Eleanor WakefieldThere are several vital elements to any successful college essay. This handout will define those elements and show you how to put them together using an outline. Following this format will help you keep your thoughts organized and get your essay underway.Elements of an EssayIntroduction: Usually an introduction starts broad and narrows down to your specific topic, ending in the thesis. This is your opportunity to establish why readers might be curious about your general topic, catch their attention, or put your essay in context.Thesis: Your introduction should end with a clear, specific thesis statement, which will tell readers exactly what your paper will be arguing. Each body paragraphwill directly and obviouslysupport your thesis.Body Paragraphs: An essay usually has at least three body paragraphs, and these will be the arguments, evidence, or topics that support your thesis.Topic Sentences: Each body paragraphwill begin with a topic sentence which introduces its topic. All of the information in that paragraph will be clearly and logically related to that topic sentence, which in turn should obviously relate to the thesis.Support: You use arguments, data, facts, analysis, quotes, anecdotes, examples, details, etc. to support your topic sentencesand flesh out your body paragraphs. A good rule of thumb is to have at least three points to support each topic sentence.Transitions:

Transitions are very important because they help the flow of the essay and make them much more effective.

    1. Addressing the Opposite Side

Addressing the opposite side of an argument is always important because you can show the readers what the opposing side is like and state your reasons as to why the opposing side is false.

    2. easons or Evidence to Support your

This is extremely important because if you don't support your claim, how are you going to convince your readers that what you're saying is true? Evidence is key!

    3. Classic Model for an Argument No one structure fits all written arguments. However, most college courses require arguments that consist of the following elements. Below is a basic outline for an argumentative or persuasive essay. This is only one possible outline or organization. Always refer to your handbook for specifics. I.Introductory Paragraph oYour introductory paragraph sets the stage or the context for the position you are arguing for

I believe that the introductory paragraph is one of the most important paragraphs because it's the first thing my readers will read and if it doesn't interest the reader, there is no point for them to keep reading.

    1. This situation may make the child stressed, anxious or bored.

Moving once is extremely hard on children but moving multiple times throughout a child's life can really affect the way they grow up as an adult

    2. Some youngsters may not talk about their distress, so parents should be aware of the warning signs of depression, including changes in appetite, social withdrawal, a drop in grades, irritability, sleep disturbances or other dramatic changes in behavior or mood.

The parents should really take the time to focus on their children despite how busy they may be with the new move. If the parents help the chlidren in the earlier stages of moving, the rest of the process will become easier.

    3. The more frequently a family moves, the more important is the need for internal stability. With the proper attention from parents, and professional help if necessary,

moving might not be as bad if the parents take good control of the children and if they do a big job in helping their child cope and adjust to the new lifestyle

    4. To make the move easier on children, parents may take these steps:

This is very important so that children don't have as much of a hard time and so that it can decrease the amount of stress.

    1. moving often in childhood can, in fact, be dangerous to your health in the long-term.”

From the results of this study, one can conclude that the more moves a child has in their lifetime, the more stressful it is for them and harder it is for them to cope with their adult lives. Moving can also be negatively affect people's overall health.

    2. moving often creates more stress and stress has been shown to have an ill effect on people’s

I agree that moving must cause a lot of stress for both children and adults in different ways. People have a lot of stress as is however, it you add moving multiple times, more stress piles up compared to an idled person's stress level.

    3. Among introverts, the more moves participants reported as children, the worse off they were as adults

This makes sense because if they moved many times as a child with their personality, they were never really given the time to grow and adapt to one place and open up to people which is most likely why they have a hard time as adults.

    4. lower life satisfaction and psychological well-being

This is very interesting because it proves that moving as a child has negative impacts even in the child's future.

I think in interviews where both sides ask each other questions it is important to be open minded and both Charlie and John are open minded and respectful about each other's opinions.

    2. JM: I

An effective interviewing skill is to not interrupt one another. Charlie and John never interrupt one another and always wait for the other person to finish speaking.

Both John and Charlie are actively participating in the interview. By asking each other questions they are learning more about one another.

An interview between a child and his/her mother can really bring their relationship closer together. They can really bond more and learn about things they've never known about before. They can understand each other better and it just helps their relationship overall.

    1. You may have noticed I haven’t been around ‘these parts’ much lately. That’s because for the past few months I’ve been working with a small team to self-distribute Beyond Clueless — an essay film about teen movies — across the UK and Ireland.

This introduction is okay. I think the author could've done a better job catching the readers attention and drawing them in. It wasn't as inviting and interesting as Hideaway girls blog.

    2. Here are ten things I learned on the long and winding road of self-distribution:

I usually believe that "here are things I learned" lists are not very effective and I didn't like it much here but it was okay because the author gave a good reason for each list.

    1. I’m here most days and so I enlighten your reader with my posts.

The about page for this blog is very attention grabbing. I like how Hideaway girl explains what her blog is about while keeping it light and simple at the same time.
