There were numerous differences in laboratory findings between patients admitted to the ICU and those not admitted to the ICU (Table 2), including higher white blood cell and neutrophil counts, as well as higher levels of D-dimer, creatine kinase, and creatine.

Most patients had abnormal myocardial zymograms characterized by increased creatine kinase in 31 (36.5%) and increased lactate dehydrogenase in 70 (82.4%) patients.

Another two studies only gave the data of creatine kinase, if it can be seen as a biomarker of cardiac injury, the proportion might be 11.5% (95% CI 7.8–15.2%).
