Pastwork has demonstrated that greater identification with Hispanicculture relative to mainstream American culture may associatewith higher levels of anxiety sensitivity (Cintrón, Carter, Suchday,Sbrocco, & Gray, 2005), and experiencing more stressful lifeevents may lead to increases in anxiety sensitivity levels(McLaughlin & Hatzenbuehler, 2009; Zavos et al., 2012)
