LiDA103: claiming ownership of lecture notes under normal circumstances is part of your work. However, since educators may have agreed to the copyright laws in the institution they maybe working before leaving to previous jobs, it’s only fair that they comply and allow the schools to take-up ownership. However, if there are some projects which the copyright laws in their previous jobs allow them ownership of some aspects the lecture notes, then it would be fair for the educator to take ownership of it send to another institution.
