Kevin's discussion of learning environments was very helpful. I agree with having your own space to interact, collaborate, and work together. Also, I liked the discussion about how your desk is placed in your classroom. and on having enough room to walk between students' desks. It is a must-do. The reason is that I have been in so many classrooms, while subbing, and I can definitely tell a difference. And the one thing I like about subbing is being in the room where the students can see you, and you can see them. It makes it much easier to see what they are actually doing.

This was very helpful for arranging your classroom. The one I liked was the table arrangement. for high school. because it allows students to work in groups in the classroom rather than move their desks closer together.

Homework should be practice work. to see whether the students understand the lesson. And yes, they should get credit, but not by grading. I would use it as a point system. For example, if one or more students need extra credit on an upcoming test. And this will also help by using it as an assessment of the data to see if you need to do a follow-up on that significant area of the lesson, for a better understanding.

When giving a student a zero for not doing their work, teachers should talk to those students. first. because sometimes. Students are lacking in their learning, and two, they may not have access to a home network if it is on their laptops. But some students do not care whether they get a zero.

The size of the room is most definitely important. Especially in a small classroom, it's hard when the students are too close to their peers. They often go off track during the lesson. I believe in classroom layout and how to arrange desks in the classroom. I have seen teachers having desks sideways, down rows, or in lines.

I remember the first time I started subbing. and trying to get the students' full attention was most definitely frustrating. With that being said, I quickly learned that I should adopt a positive attitude. I have learned from other teachers how they handle their classrooms. And that was helpful. I started asking them questions like how is your morning going or " Who is your favorite sports team? " The students love that.

And yes, don't waste your time. always give clear instructions. If you let them run the classroom, it will be much harder to handle. Always be clear and show them that you are in charge.

I liked how she used a positive attitude toward the students and explained how to come into the classroom. Also, I liked how she got their full attention before going into the classroom.

Every behavior is different, and there are different ways to discipline them. For example, you may have one student who all it takes is a talk, or you may have one where all it takes is a phone call to mom or dad.

I do believe in warnings because it gives the student a chance to correct themselves before taking other steps. I like the number 3 rule.

I agree with this statement. It would be best to think before you post and share anything online because you could lose your job on what you share on social media, and it hurt you in the long run, too.

This video gives great information on how digital footprints are used in the classroom. It is an eye-opener of how we see things. And how we share things online that we may can have long-lasting consequences for what we share.
