    1. Film Crit Hulk goes on to say that the “don’t feed the trolls” advice puts the burden on victims of abuse to stop being abused, giving all the power to trolls. Instead, Film Crit Hulk suggests giving power to the victims and using “skilled moderation and the willingness to kick people off platforms for violating rules about abuse”

Firstly, ignoring those trolls are necessary but besides that, I think we should also use some strict management and punishment to stop such posts and behaviors, such as to kick people off platforms or permanently close their accounts.

    1. Trolling is when an Internet user posts inauthentically (often false, upsetting, or strange) with the goal of causing disruption or provoking an emotional reaction. When the goal is provoking an emotional reaction, it is often for a negative emotion, such as anger or emotional pain. When the goal is disruption, it might be attempting to derail a conversation (e.g., concern trolling), or make a space no longer useful for its original purpose (e.g., joke product reviews), or try to get people to take absurd fake stories seriously.

I recalled a past fake scandal about a 15-year old girl. Why is this girl? It's because the girl's parents are celebrities and the girl is truly outstanding among the peers. The trolls spread the fake new in order to bring the negative impression of the audience toward the girl and to fun for that. Those trolls use internet to post inauthentic news that effect the environment of the network community but also very unfair to the victim.

Agree with that, for the majority of social platforms, over strictness would cause opposite effect that lead to the loss of audience and influx since people used social platforms are not for learning or lectured by others but for pure fun .

    2. Many users were upset that what they had been watching wasn’t authentic. That is, users believed the channel was presenting itself as true events about a real girl, and it wasn’t that at all. Though, even after users discovered it was fictional, the channel continued to grow in popularity.

Authenticity in social media is more rare with the long-lasting boom of network/internet. Viewing this paragraph, I also have similar feeling about a truly popular eating blogger running in Youtube Channel, named Boki. Following the raised popularity of her channel, for the influx, she starts to deceive the audience that showing the clips without swallowing and chewing but only the process of sending foods into her mouth. Then, through the editing technique, she only shows the perfect "eating" process and then spits out of all foods behind the shot.

    1. The user interface of a computer system (like a social media site), is the part that you view and interact with. It’s what you see on your screen and what you press or type or scroll over. Designers of social media sites have to decide how to layout information for users to navigate and decide how the user performs various actions (like, retweet, post, look up user, etc.). Some information and actions will be made larger and easier to access while others will be smaller or hidden in menus or settings.

UI and UX both are important and essential components to produce a successfully but also user-friendly products/app. I know that UX might be more focused on user's experience about the usability and efficiency of using the app, while the UI is focused on the whole app's superficial style and interfere design along with how the whole app looks like

    1. 8Chan (now called 8Kun) is an image-sharing bulletin board site that was started in 2013. It has been host to white-supremacist, neo-nazi and other hate content. 8Chan has had trouble finding companies to host its servers and internet registration due to the presence of child sexual abuse material (CSAM), and for being the place where various mass shooters spread their hateful manifestos. 8Chan is also the source and home of the false conspiracy theory QAnon

Many of those anti-social and disgust contents even are popularized in some specific population even under such strict network management by the nature but still with some network gap or bug. I'd knew lots of illegal contents due to the coverages by some courageous journalists, many of their contents interfere with sexual abuses, illegally propagandizing the female's naked pictures, dark trade with human's body portions. All of those thing shocked me but more importantly that reflects some critical and fatal issues-----privacy issues.

    1. As you can see in the apple example, any time we turn something into data, we are making a simplification.1 If we are counting the number of something, like apples, we are deciding that each one is equivalent. If we are writing down what someone said, we are losing their tone of voice, accent, etc. If we are taking a photograph, it is only from one perspective, etc.

I hold the similar view that simplification is beneficial to some specific aspects but also cause us lose something that might be the live and vital characteristics. For the apples, directly counting the number of apples is easy while apples with different appearance and smell cannot be rendered.

    1. Social Media: An internet-based platform used for people to form connections to each other and share things.

For social languages, something is popping in my mind about some examples in China's social network. For instance, when expressing the happy or laugh emotion, instead of expressing standard expression of "hhhhhhhhh or LOL", some people say "2333333". A social language created from the network.

that's true. Such program similar with the contents I took from CSE 121. For java, they will divide the whole sentence said form the human into "system slices" that follow the principles of the programming code. Also, since the whole sentence is too long for the computer, they would like to split them into several lines which should be easier for the computer to recognize and run.

    1. “I’ve gotten a rush of tweets – coordinated tweets. Like, somewhere else on the internet there’s like a group on the internet saying, ‘Okay, everyone tweet Rian Johnson.’ All from Russian accounts, and all begging me not to kill Admiral Hux in this movie.”

such phenomenon is common, especially frequently happened for the public celebrities. For example, if the fans from the male celebrity don't like the female partner that have cooperation with their fav star, those fans will "employee" many fake accounts for left many similar swear worlds on the female's partner's social account.

    1. Justine lost her job at IAC, apologized, and was later rehired by IAC.

many people said, "social media is double-edged sword". Nowadays, social media/platforms undoubtedly have became the most significant medium that largely influence people's lives. The reason for why many people see it is "network flow". Honestly speaking, mediums need flow and focus from the users because invisible flow on the networks means tons of benefits, especially money. Therefore, medium, such as Twitter, they absolutely need the flow and tweet heat. Therefore, in order of their long-lasting benefits, they will do anything to spread it when one hot and controversial event came up...

    1. Confucianism (another link)

Since i'm Chinese, confucianism was considered the primary and first ethics that I learned when I was young. Besides those sub-points, my instructor also taught me that "there is always someone to learn from" and "I reflect on myself three times every day". Those phrases also the qualities that stick in my mind which were impressive!
