When she still thinks her husband is alive she is having a hard time enjoying life because she's so miserable in her marriage.

At the beginning, it mentions that the summer rain is joining together. That's what happens at a river all the water of the rain runs into the river. This is similar to life. People of all walks of life end up melting into one place and being forced to meet each other no matter their situation.

No matter how people may treat her she will always act as the bigger person. When pushed into hard places she will persevere and continue to thrive while others who push people out of the way will always fall flat.

Even though she gives people her time, they walk all over it and continue to take until they get what they want. Once that is achieved they leave. No warning. She is viewed as something that can be used let alone the knowledge and power she may hold.

It seems like a majority of this work makes it sound like if a dream is deferred it becomes a very negative thing, only giving one positive example.

I think this is an interesting quote because it reminds women while reading that just because you're curvy doesn't mean its a bad thing. This is how women were built in order to bear children. This really jumped out to me because there are a lot of body standards in the world especially for women. This quote felt like a reminder for all readers that you have wide hips and a little extra weight for a reason.

This is giving a unique point of view. Most people think of God as a man but with the author taking this stance she's emphasizing on the fact that the problem wasn't Eve herself if was the temptation she was given by the one who is supposed to do only good.

This quote is trying to show specifically how even though this student might be different from everyone else in the class, she is still a human and they are similar in all the same basic ways.

This portion of the poem highlights that what is written on the paper is something that you truly feel deep in your soul. The writer gets further into the details talking about how she is different then all the other people in the class including the professor which is what she will be writing about.

This portion of this poem is just showing once again that these two people are relating what they are seeing to different things. One person says that everything they see is because of God, however the other person says it's just the connection that everyone has through the universe.

Two people even though they are looking at the same thing can see two very different things. Neither is definitively correct but on the same hand neither is wrong. It's all a matter of opinion.
