    1. Stories fulfill many purposes. As I discussed in the last issue, they can help us relate facts in a memorable way. They can drive emotional engagement and, as they do, help us make decisions

I agree that stories play an essential role in helping us remember facts and stay emotionally engaged. When a concept is embedded in a narrative, it becomes easier to understand and more likely to influence our decisions. This is especially important in design work, where emotional resonance can highlight issues that pure data might overlook.

    1. One of the most significant decisions that can affect how people answer questions is whether the question is posed as an open-ended question, where respondents provide a response in their own words, or a closed-ended question, where they are asked to choose from a list of answer choices.

I totally agree with that the question posed should be an open-ended question. Open-ended question can inspire people to talk more and have different kinds of thoughts. If we make the question in close-ended version, the responses will be fixed and have no deeper thinkings by the reposnsers. Therefore, choosing the open-edned question will better for us since we can gain more diversed responses.

    1. To answer that, we have to delve into the history of design. Starting in the 20th century, people started to think about these questions and come up with names and definitions for “ways” of designing we’ll call design paradigms.

It's a really new definition of paradigm, which I never saw before. I agree with that design paradigm is the "ways" of designing when people think about questions and come up with names and definitions. The reading made me notice that how design changes in the history and it's really important for me to know that. What's more, design paradigms can be applied in many fields and always change, not only drawing something. As a future designer, we should pay more attention on how design changes and its paradigms.
