    1. A Pew Research Center study in 2020 found that only 7 percent of people in Nigeria believe that homosexuality should be accepted, and the Same-Sex Marriage (Prohibition) Act, passed in 2014, bans not just legal recognition of these relationships but also any outward displays of affection between partners of the same gender or meetings of official L.G.B.T.Q. organizations.

      This stands out to me because I know of a lot of communities of where people are against homosexuality but its slowly starting to get more accepted and normalized.

      This part stands out to me due to the feeling of finally being accepted and not judged for example getting judged for cooking as a man.

      This sentence stood out to me because during the pandemic time we weren't really allowed to be outside we were forced to stay indoors making me and my friends feel trapped.

      This connects to me and my community because in my community there are a lot of family owned businesses and restaurants owned and ran by families who immigrated from Mexico as well.

      I agree with this statement that a restaurant isin't just a place to go eat it's a space where you connect with your community, connect with the culture, and just to enjoy the service.

      I agree with this statement food does bring people together for example it brings families together to make and create new recipes passing them down from generation to generation.
