    1. only two investigations have surveyed clinicians to assess their conceptualizations of cultural sensitivity, which is surprising given the central role they play in executing mental health interventions.

      this is shockingly low

    2. we know very little about how to effectively train evidence-based multicultural competencies in providers

This is similar to what I mentioned before. There isn't much understanding of how to train therapists to become culturally competent. I dont think cultural competence is something that can be taught. Many of us form our understanding of our own culture as well as others from personal experience, so if someone has never had that experience how can you teach them to understand & respect others cultures.

    3. Beyond this, however, there is no uniformity in terms of definition, terminology, and conceptual models concerning cultural competence.

I think bringing awareness to this is so important. There is no universality when it comes to defining cultural competence and I could imagine how this might be difficult to accomplish. I say this because applying cultural competence to different cultures looks different in each context. Also, I feel that cultural competence is a skill that can't be taught. Being able to create terminology that clearly defines a lot of the concepts that we've each come to understand subjectively in our heads could definitely be a challenge.

    4. CBTs dominate international guidelines for psychosocial treatments, and many organizations in the United States and United Kingdom now routinely offer some form of CBT to patients who present with mental health problems

Is there any overlap in the performance of CBTs in comparison to other approaches to psychological treatments? CBT is so broadly used, but there is another form of therapy that performs similarly?

    5. cultural tailoring and how best to train CBT clinicians to work with eth

I can appreciate this perspective and initiative to make CBT something that is effective in not only western culture, but in minorities as well. This is rather interesting because there are a plethora of cultural differences that influence how we view and understand the world. I could imagine that these differences could also influence how we experience our thoughts, feelings, and emotions differently.
