If this is the impression I am making then I am not doing a good job in the impression I make. I am neither seeking redemption nor atoning for anything in that held myself to very high standards and the mistakes I have made in my professional life are few and minor.

It is true, however, that I wish to call out corrupt practices and shoddy behavior in finance, and I do so when speaking to my peers. For example, see: How to save Wall Street: Start with better parenting and more Canadians

However when talking to a general audience my goal is to promote integrity and challenge the audience to think about what lies they believe rather than dwell on critiquing others. This is tricky because when you do it you often get a reaction along the lines of, "I know you are, but what am I?"

I don't know how to create a best selling book, you can only create a book and see if it sells.

I would much rather evolve my spoken words into something that looks like Randy Pausch's Last Lecture called Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams, which later was published in book form and sold quite well.

The perception you are getting is not the one I want to give however the thing you want from me is not what I want to create. To be clear, I have no interested in crafting a performance in the theatrical world to find a receptive audience. I want to create a motivational speech, however I certainly don't want it to be empty.

I have no idea what a "corporate takeover maverick" actually looks like because I haven't seen any or heard them give any motivational speeches. Are you thinking of the Gordon Gekko "Greed is Good" speech? That was fiction, you know, but it might be an excellent carrier for a piece. How would Gordon Gekko deliver a Greed is Not Good speech?

Correct... bullshit never sleeps. I will use this review in the beginning of my next performance and if it goes well it might get incorporated permanently.

This is a funny analogy for two reasons: 1) The Bonfire of the Vanities was filmed on the trading floor where I worked at Merrill Lynch. We were asked to volunteer as non-union extras and it turned out that about 25% of our traders couldn't do it because they were union actors. The thing is that there is no credential for being a good trader - you just have to be good at it. And if you act like you are good at it and we can see that you are good at it we don't care if your years of training as an actor helped you be a good trader. In my case I have been talking truth to some very powerful people for more than 30 years and I am better at it than any "actor" could be pretending that they were me. 2) The Fringe is an open-access arts festival which means that if you can make something happen then nobody can say you cannot do it. I am not walking into the National Shakespeare Company declaring myself an actor. I am going to the Fringe where the analogy is as if a trained actor without any qualifications to be a hedge fund manager decided to buy some stock just to see what happens.

This is NOT THE CASE AT ALL. During the stay in 2014 I was overdosing on entertainment, as if I were choking on cake. I was becoming critical of people who were working really hard and my mood began to sink. Things turned around when I began engaging in conversation with performers and producers and got to see what their struggle was like. I realized that the Fringe itself was an amazing drama that I could not appreciate fully without participating.
