      As someone who reads their bible constantly, I appreciate this in here! It is something I am knowledgeable about and makes everything feel less overwhelming.

    1. one of the most exciting benefits of these writing systems is that they allowed people to record their myths, religious and philosophical ideas, and literatures. Many of the earliest stories recorded during the Bronze Age may have even earlier origins in oral traditions that may go back centuries or even millennia.

      How long have we been working on decoding these? What do they say? WIll we ever find out? How many hours are being put into this research? All of these questions and no clue when they will be answered. Imagine how the sayings on these could impact our past and what we know about it!

      I find it strange that we have found oit how to read the language but can not figure out who it belonged to.

    3. The earliest examples of cuneiform so far discovered date back about 5,300 years. They were images known as pictographs made on clay tokens; the earliest purpose seems to have been accounting tasks such as tallying grain or livestock.

      I find it extremely interesting they used tally marks before pictures. I also thought they would be older than that since the Earth is so old.
