    1. During the pandemic

The strikes can arguably be traced back to the pandemic, as that is when streaming services boomed and changed the industry forever. They were always around but with the pandemic they saw their numbers skyrocket.

    2. $27.30

Glenn, as shown in the video, gets a check for 27 dollars which is not just for her work in one episode, but her total check for over 20 episodes., and in today's economy 27 dollars will not suffice

    3. with SAG asking for an 11 percent increased minimum in year one and 4 percent in each of the following years.

It is a good starting place, but I recon they will need to adjust the agreement again in the future.

    4. “screen pay has declined 14% in the last five years.”

While movies generate more money and movie tickets cost more, somehow the workers are being paid less for their services.

    5. In overall terms, the percentage of TV writers working for the MBA minimum increased from a third in 2013–14 to nearly half of all writers in 2021–22.

To sum it up, more workers, by a wide margin, are working for less money, which should be the opposite. These shows and channels are generating millions but refuse to pay their workers

    6. On TV staffs, more writers are working at minimum regardless of experience, often for fewer weeks, or in mini-rooms,

The writers especially for late-night television have to come up with new material, new skits, and new jokes within a day to be ready for the late-night taping that night. This is not a feasible schedule for anyone with these time constraints.

    7. When the deadline for a new contract passed on May 1, the threat of a writers strike, which was looming over Hollywood for some time, transitioned from “looming” to “here.”

As someone not on the front lines, it seemed as this came out of nowhere, but as you dig deeper it was a constant struggle that boiled over to the point where actors and actresses knew they had to stand up.

    8. After 146 days on strike

This is almost 5 months on strike, to me it felt like it could've continued to last as well. I did not see an end in sight and I wasn't even involved in it, so I can imagine how others felt.

    1. But while we wait, we would like to know who earned a spot on your Sexiest Man Alive list, by casting your vote in various categories of he year's most magnificent men.

As sexiest man would be a somewhat popularity contest, PEOPLE is giving the option to vote on smaller separate categories while their team decides the Sexiest Man Alive behind the scenes.

    2. It's time for one of the most difficult decisions of 2023

It is fun that PEOPLE pokes fun at its own poll. These surveys and polls are not to argued about as some election polls may be.

    3. sexiest TV star, Tiktok star, morning show host and mor

PEOPLE is giving you many options to vote on which speaks to various audiences as a result. Instead of just picking one man out of hundreds of celebs it breaks it down into categories.

    1. with Mobius, he chooses one of their very first conversations, when he was just learning about the existence of the TVA in the series premiere.

As fans, you love a good callback, and to one of the very first episodes of the show

    2. He Who Remains paved the road for Loki and Sylvie to find him at the End of Time at the end of the first season, and here, the villain reveals to Loki that everything that has happened since then—from his death to Loki’s time slipping—has all proceeded as he anticipated.

Another gut punch, as if there was not enough already, as Kang was controlling everything, there was no Free Will or destiny, with every action happening as Kang planned. Loki worked for centuries trying to save the day, all for him to find out that he could do nothing about it.

    3. At the Citadel at the End of Time, Loki finds himself in another futile cycle, trying and failing to save He Who Remains from getting stabbed by Sylvie in each attempt.

The scene plays out again and again, like Groundhog Day or Happy Death Day, and to no reward

    4. they realize their efforts—and lifetimes of Loki’s work—were all for nothing.

To spend centuries trying to save the ones you love, all to fail in the end, was heart wrenching to watch, or so we thought

    5. Loki entered a time loop of his own making, trying again and again to speed u

It was almost like a Groundhog Day plot for this episode, instead of doing the same day over and over, he had to keep going earlier in time to beat the clock.

    6. It’s at once a satisfying conclusion for Marvel’s flagship TV series and a bittersweet ending for one of its most tragic and beloved characters.

It is tearful to see him finally find who he can be, but also devastating that he is forever alone and us fans will most likely not see him again

    7. He has effectively become the multiverse itself, the gatekeeper of all hero’s journeys past, present, and future.

All MCU fans can agree, that this is nowhere near where many of us thought the character would go, even more so if you told us this would happen back in 2011.

    8. glorious purpose

Loki's journey from being outcasted by his Father, being the lesser brother to know finding his purpose is a great but also devastating character arc.

    1. Bayern stretched its winning streak in the group stage to 17 games — a competition record — while its 38-game unbeaten run in the group stage is also a record.

This win, created a historic two records last night in Munich

    2. Bayern’s back-to-back-victories over the Turkish champion give it a maximum 12 points from four games so far, an unassailable lead in Group A with two rounds of games remaining.

For non-soccer fans, a win gets you 3 points so Bayern has won all 4 games so far. They now advance to the knockout stage of the UCL.

    1. After Smith was dosed, authorities allege Swilley choked his husband to death "with an unknown ligature

We are not sure this is a fact, as the authorities allege that this happened, so they do not truly know.

    2. He also set up a GoFundMe and raised more than $2,200 in donations for a "celebration of life," according to NBC affiliate WFLA of Tampa.

This is interesting as most likely Shilley would just have pocketed the money raised. He was not donating it to a special cause from what we know—a strategic plan to kill someone and profit off of it.

    3. "I know you are up there looking down on us and taking care of us. You will always be in my heart and thoughts," the post read. "To be honest, I miss you every day and wish you were here. Life isn’t the same without you. I miss your smile and your loving spirit."

This could be all a lie, a strategic post to make himself look not guilty of the horrific crimes. He may have never loved his husband at all.

    4. It was later determined that his statement was "false, self-serving, or contradicted by other evidence,"

Again this is all told to us through the sheriff's comments that we have to believe as fact.

    5. Swilley was charged with first-degree premeditated murder and tampering with evidence

The opinion would be whether or not, he should be charged with more than what he got. The facts are these are the charges he has now.

    6. sharing a video of Swilley being escorted to the jail.

Here is the proof that Swilley was arrested, after I said that we had to believe it from the comments maybe by the Sheriff

    7. Smith had 30 times more than the "normal therapeutic dose" of diphenhydramine, an ingredient found in Benadryl.

Obviously, this is disclosed information at the time, now being released to the public following the investigation, we have to believe it as fact as we don't have the tox reports.

    8. Timothy Smith, was found dead in their Ocala apartment on March 25, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office said.

However, this is what the officer said and there is always false accusations or suspects.

    1. Mr. Chappelle’s remarks were first reported by The Wall Street Journal, whi

The story is being told through many passed down voices, nobody could record at the show so there was no direct sources to report about this.

    2. Dave Chappelle’s

the source is New York Times, which should also be reliable. I chose this article because I do enjoy Dave Chapelle's comedy skits. I do not enjoy watching many comedians but he sticks out.

    3. Dave Chappelle waded briefly into the Israel-Hamas conflict at a show in Boston last week

Unfortunately comedians use current events to fuel material for their shows, it is not any different from the events of 9/11 or BLM, although the recency of the events and it still going on causes problems because many comedians make jokes long after it happens.

    4. He said the attacks of Oct. 7 were horrific and also criticized Israel for its role in displacing more than one million people, and withholding food, water and fuel. The comedian added that people on both sides of the conflict needed to self-reflect and consider how they were treating each other.

Dave should not be attacked for bringing up what is happening around the world and in this statement he is not taking a side just wants peace

    5. raised concerns about the way a group of Harvard students had been treated after writing an anti-Israel letter.

Many athletes and celebrities are being attacked for supporting any side of the conflict, Chapelle is another example of this and he wasn't even supporting a side just talking about what was happening.

    6. Mr. Chappelle, who has not hesitated to address controversial issues in recent years,

As I mentioned before, and shown in this, Dave has been under the microscope before and is not new to critiquing social events. and social commentaries.

    7. People were not allowed to access their phones during the performance, and there was scant evidence of exactly what transpired during the set. But Mr. Chappelle was at one point drawn into the topic of the war by audience members and then focused on it for roughly eight minutes, according to news reports and a person who listened to a recording of the set.

We have no proof of what was distinctively said during the skit so that adds to the potential uproar or support towards Dave

    8. The Los Angeles Times reported that perhaps 200 people in the roughly 17,000-person audience had departed toward the end of the show.

Although a small portion in comparison to the 17k people there, 200 people specifically leaving is enough to cause this news headline.

    9. drawing cheers from some audience members and causing others to walk out as he decried the humanitarian crisis unfolding at the Gaza Strip,

This is the conflict with comedians, many people can be sensitive towards any jokes that may be related to current events like BLM, war conflict, race. People should expect this when they come to watch the show
