      With this, at least, I agree. But who will pay to keep these Universities "open", both literally and conceptually?

      Please, in this thread, list any evidence of research (i.e. citations) that the author actually provides for this claim in the article. I'll wait.

    4. They seemingly prefer to have to attend a draughty lecture hall at a fixed time and snooze through a ritual hour of note-taking, as if attending high mass.

      There is a rhetorical move happening here: is this what the students actually say they prefer? The actual petition suggests otherwise: read it here.
