It’s a very interesting reading document. Angelina is a brilliant women went forward in a fight against slavery and women’s right in those dark ages that slavery is a norm and women didn’t have same right as men. It reminds me the story of Nat Turner, same lake Angelina, he Used religious prospect to fight against slavery and equal rights for all.

The story of Nat Turner as a whole is such an amazing story. Amazing in a sense he believed as he was a superior and a prophet of God. He related several conditions to the bible story. I felt like I am reading an old testament bible. In my opinion the document seemed edited to smear Nat Turner as an evil & psychopath man who wanted to kill children, women and innocent men. I wished for him to fight the system of slavery and work for bigger cause instead. A lot of black slaves died and punished in the process. Every master of slaves frustrated and angered by the action and become crueler to the slaves. Nat Turner just put gas on a fire and worsen already horrific life of black slaves.

Sinners in the hands of an angry God written by Jonathan Edwards back in eighteenth century was an amazing document. The sermon seemed got prepared as wake up call for those assumed as a possible sinner. The overall gist of the written document was How God could be very cruel on the sinners, and how sinner should prepare to quit their sins and pray to him to get mercy. According to the written document, Sinners will be judged accordingly and thrown to hell. This document also showed how the sinners will be treated in hell. The message of this sermon is also applicable in today’s religious practices. I am a Christian myself, and our preachers explain the bible messages to abide by God’s low and the ten commandments, and the violators will be called sinners and go to hell for bad doing. Some of the paragraphs in the sermon were very threatening; for example, in one of the paragraphs it said “You children that are unconverted don’t you know that you are going down to hell” God is angry with you every day and every night”. It also explains hell as, “It’s a great furnace of wrath” “a wide bottomless pit”
