    1. Because twins are very sensitive to each other.

my sister and I are twins and we both are very close and we share everything, we are usually the first ones to know anything about each other. Twins are known to be very connected to others and spirits. Some where I know that salmon are tied in to twins, Im not 100% how but I remember how it works. Also my dad knew that he was having twins, in my culture if you have two swirls in your hair closer to the back of the head that tells you that you would be having twins.

    1. And that was special. It was a treat

    2. were coming there at five years, six years of age – first time away from their parents

    2. doing your cleansing with cedar boughs and dippin’ it into the water and just brushin’ yourself, because again, there’s so much good energy from the cedar boughs

at home we go under the water and brush our selves off, while using the cedar we wipe off the "bad" and ask the creator to look out and protect us. after we cleanse we would take the water from where we would cleanse and we would have to drink at least one water bottle of the water to "clear out" our systems.

    3. The belief is that we are one with the animal kingdom

this reminds me of the stories back home where we are all connected, we all have something to give and that what we do will come back and help us if we are patient. If you take something you give it back. In m culture if you take food you give the scraps back to the animals and the nature and next time when you go hunting or fishing the fish will give back to us the following year.

    1. That’s what hurt the people, to have something forced upon you. And that’ll never work

Even to this day people force things on to Indigenous peoples. We are forced to forget about residential school since it is in the past, but we don't go around saying that people should forget about the people who fought in the World wars and tell their families to forget.
