Teacake ended up feeling sick after a couple of days. Janie called a doctor and they said he had rabies. He wasn’t feeling good and kept thinking Janie was with someone else. He wasn’t feeling good trying to shoot her and in self defense she shot him back.

So Mrs. Turner frowned most of the time. She had so much to disapprove of. It didn’t affect Tea Cake and Janie too much.
Mrs. Turner didn’t like tea cake very much and was very racist towards him. She doesnt want tea cake to be with Janie but of course they dont care what she thinks. Mrs. Turner loves Janie’s company.

She feels that tea cake might actually like nunkie more than her. Her and tea cake get into a physical argument but she realizes she loves him.
