    1. You know the children in your roomwho need to show you, those who need to tell you, andthose who need to write it out. There are times whenone of each in a group should work together so they canlearn from each other.

      I have found this to be very true. There are differences. In my Spanish classes, there is a lot of repitition. This gives us opportunities to differentiate the lesson. I have also found that if you create a "game" with the lesson, it helps lower the "learning barrier".

    2. With the stan-dard and curriculum in mind, Mrs. Johnson can tier forreadiness (above, at, and below grade level), interest,or learning style. She can tier her lesson for content,process, or product.

      Working with other teachers has help me a lot. Some have really paved the way with creating tiered lessons. It really is a team effort. It works too. I see different students respond differently depending on the lesson. The topic may be the same throughout the week, but we use different in class exercises to reach different learners.

    3. Formative assessment can be donein many ways and the results will give a teacher direc-tion for further instruction.

      Formative assessment is important and I do it constantly teaching high school Spanish. I have a mix of learners and limited time to teach them.
