This definitely does happen and part of the reason is not to necessarily cause disrespect to the lecturer, but sometimes peoples minds are indeed elsewhere. Every person has good and bad days, and it can show during class time. -FYS 156 9/03/2019
Because even in the best lectures, delivered by the most entertaining faculty at the very top of their game, student attention will flag at a certain point and students will mentally check out.
I definitely agree. as a student we do try to pay attention, but factors such as : lack of sleep, priorities, or problems elsewhere can make us lose focus during lectures. -FYS 156 9/3/2019 Diana Cruz
