I agree that having an education is a one step to social mobility. But it's simply a step back works to be in debt for decades. Having an education is about learning and self sustainability based on your hard work. But again 'the more knowledge more power' can have a negative effect, by making risk or even sacrifice years or decade trying to pay their debt off. And people are always based on social wealth to determine social success. Or make it hard to have an American-dream to which most is own house which they call home.

For the times since humanity existed the phrase "The more knowledge the more power" whether using the knowledge you know for the good or the worse it all depends on the action you take. For on education, everyone has different ways of teaching thing, Sometimes they don't have enough money or resources to teach it well. So the wealthy and educated have the bests of both world the best teacher and best way to teach them, while other is one or the other or none.
