    1. How are people’s expectations different for a bot and a “normal” user?

First it's that idea of the donkey protester mentioned a moment ago. There's a detachment between awareness and execution of actions when in the case of bots, given their standing as more of a tool then an entity. It would be critiquing a hammer for pounding a nail wrong, when the one using the tool could not be identified. There's also the degree of ability in sheer quantity of action, since a bot could take over an entire thread in seconds while it would require substantial manual effort to do so for a human.

The idea of a digitally incesteous ouroboros is so disturbing and in equal measures fascinating! the source touches on the advent and contemporary analysis of bots feeding content into one another as they're both producing and reacting to content divorced from any human involvement. Especially with the evolution and abundance of AI now adays to the layman, the barrier for entry to add to this rotting hell is on the floor, so it's only going to get worse!

    1. Why do you think the people who Kumail talked with didn’t have answers to his questions?

I imagine they think of the act of technological advancement for either the means to simply see what it can do, or more realistically, to establish themselves as the forefront of the market. There's a profit incentive playing it's role as the primary inspiration for progress, and given that technological advancement is so penetrative to every facet of modern life, it's a bottomless well of money that many work towards without acknowledging that part of technologies nature and the profound harm it could do on such a large scale.

    1. Being and becoming an exemplary person (e.g., benevolent; sincere; honoring and sacrificing to ancestors; respectful to parents, elders and authorities, taking care of children and the young; generous to family and others). These traits are often performed and achieved through ceremonies and rituals (including sacrificing to ancestors, music, and tea drinking), resulting in a harmonious society.

A further aspect of Confucius tradition is the idea that through the practice of ritual, one would develop (kind of like a social expectation pressure) a sense of introspective shame towards themselves. Rather than a series of punishments and outcomes, you create a social expectation that one must continually adhere to or feel as though they must correct it themselves without need for punishment. Its the nature of humans to be virtuous, so create the means and expectation to do so through ritual and society will be harmonious.
