That's an interesting percentage number and really shocking that they spend almost 90% of the household expenditure. Though I suppose it makes sense since they were mainly in charge of taking care of the household and maintaining it as most women were stay at home wives.

I may be wrong but it seems silly to me that someone would scoff at the country side and revel in its decay when its practically the backbone of all the food that is consumed in the cities. Not to mention farming not only provides a large percentage of the food but as well as supports the economy.
