    1. In Luis’s case, his challenges in school led to restrictions on his club time. His parents believed that access to the club was one way that they could motivate him to work harder on his school assignments.

      It's obvious that this is something he's good at and something that he's passionate about. I do believe that if one starts slacking off in school then one should be given restrictions on doing the thing they love. To me, that's more of a motivation to get it together in school so that in the end, one can do what they enjoy doing.

All they have in school is just work, do your homework and recess time.       I've seen many schools add after school programs for those with parents that work late and it's noticeable how some of the "problematic" kids are doing better because they have something to distract them. Not only are they doing better with their behavior but they are also learning new things and that's a very important thing to remember.

      This reminds me so much of my brother because he is interested in film and hopes to one day become a director. My brother knows so much about things like this and I on the other hand don't. It's important to see that ones interests also play a major role in what technologies they use and know more about.

      We can see here that Luis used his knowledge with cameras and expanded on it to create even better things. One might lack on something but will make up for it in a greater way with something else.

      I can relate to this because growing up my family and I didn't have a printer in our house but we did have like a camcorder. My cousin and I would film everything on that, so at a young age we both learned how to use it. Now, I know how to use printers and all that but I still feel more comfortable with a camera in my hands. Luis didn't have access to other forms of internet access but he did now about an analog video camera which is a form of technology.

      It's discouraging seeing something like this because one feels like they're falling behind or like they don't deserve to learn such things because they don't have the same access as others. It's something common in today's world, true and disappointing.

      I think this is extremely important because the technology is only going to keep advancing and getting better. Learning something like computer science is important and is literally helping shape our future. I believe that everyone should learn or have basic knowledge on technology.

      This really puts into perspective on how advanced technology is. One can pretty much do anything online or using technology. Technology is advancing but so are our ideas and creations.

      It's interesting how we have access to advanced forms of technology and at the same time we have access to "old" forms of literacy like libraries, newspapers, books, etc.
