      This quote specifically reminds me of a phenomenon I've heard of where some people are more willing to discuss real life problems within the context of fiction instead of their real world repercussions that inspired said fiction

      Referring back to my first annotation, it feels like whiplash hearing the author switch between academic language and what sounds closer to casual conversation. the author's writing style is interesting to say the least

      I'm intrigued by how the author describes humans as "arrogant" and "pretending to be good" and using "so called modern" to describe human achievement. It feels as if he has a disdain for humanity and I wonder if that bias effects this piece
