    1. it’s your responsibility to hold the reader’s atten-tion long enough for them to consider that evidence and logic.

      this paragraph stuck out to me and this line really caught my eye. when it comes to writing something it is our job catch the eye of the reader and draw them in. when writing about something it needs to be executed correctly or it might be "pushed" aside.

      I think this was a great thing to bring up cause a lot of times people would question martin Luther king about doing things like going against the segregation law but many people didn't think ab out the morality aspect. when he brought up Hitler and how everything he did was legal he showed us as readers and other that might not understand that some of these laws that were being followed were causing harm and weren't doing anything but splitting us apart, but when there's laws that aren't affecting anyone negatively and actually keeping others safe there is no reason to go against them, that is the different between "just" and "I just" laws that martin Luther king talks about a lot throughout his whole letter.

      I really liked this sentence causes its shows that you cant expect change from the person or people that is oppressing you, you got to fight for that right that they are denying you

      they waited weeks and months after they made the agreement and nothing but the bare minimum happened, it just shows that all they wanted to do was just small things so they could shut up instead of actually informing a change.
