    1. Creating a Safe Learning Environment and Modeling: To help students embrace failure, teachers must create a safe classroom environment where exposure and perceived ignorance are not feared.

this is very important because I used to be scared to ask questions to a certain teacher in fear of being told im wrong and that she couldn't help me. asking questions is an important part of learning and without it you don't learn.

    2. Being resilient and motivated to persist through complex, frustrating, and difficult tasks without giving up. It is the motivation to get the job done correctly and the desire to progress. As a core component of resilience, it includes being optimistic, committed, and connected.

    3. •       Inquisitiveness: An inclination to be curious and a desire to fully understand something, even if the complete answer isn't immediately known. It involves seeking to comprehend tasks, options, and limitations. In science, this is the drive to seek information and spot knowledge gaps.

I feel like this is totally me. I have a desire to understand and learn things that I don't understand. I seek to know and to find answers which motivates me.

    4. ensuring one does not take information at face value. Instead, it prompts individuals to ask: "Why is that true? Why is that right? Why is this the only option?". This analytical approach is vital for establishing validity in any given situation.

This is important for me because a lot of times we just assume what any teacher tells us is correct, but going deeper to understand the topic is important because the teacher might not always be right. Its important to understand something beyond the surface and to ask questions to totally know what is going on. it helps for us to understand other things too.

    2. Struggling doesn’t mean you’re not capable—it means you’re learning something challenging, and that’s a good thing. Many students (and professors!) have faced similar moments and come through stronger.

this is always important to remember so you don't just want to give up. It shows you that there is a succuss even if you are struggling in the moment. if you try hard enough you can be successful.

    3. particularly in the face of academic challenges

Academic challenges can be hard to face sometimes because you might expect something to be easy and it isn't, but I have learned that just slowing down and trying harder, has helped me understand challenging topics and helped me to learn more than I ever expected.

    4. the belief that one's intelligence and abilities can expand and develop through effort and learning

I definitely believe that this mindset is true compared to the fixed mindset. Based on my experience, as long as you try hard and work for something it is possible to excel at it. There is a certain extent to what people are naturally gifted at, but anyone can learn anything.

    1. often-invisible thinking process tangible for students.

It is definitely important for educators to encourage metacognition because some people wont get it on their own and it is more of a necessary skill as you get further into life. standard High schools should try to change the way they teach to fit the metacognition model better.

    2. Taking "time-outs"

all of these strategies seem very helpful, especially for me I know. taking breaks is important to refresh your mind and really assuring yourself you have the right answer by talking out loud or questioning yourself proves effective. It does take a lot of patience and determination though.

    3. familiarity with a problem rather than accurately assessing their understanding, leading to inaccurate monitoring. Metacognition helps students move beyond rote memorization, which is often the only strategy employed by high school students entering college. It helps students identify when their ideas are incorrect and make necessary adjustment

This is something that I have already noticed while being in college. I relied a lot on memorization in high school, and college has a bigger outlook on education than that I have realized. I need to learn more strategies in my learning because of this.
