    1. Those two items considered, it is critical that common outdoor spaces in supportive housing are designed to be open enough to have accidental eyessupervising play and also closed off enough to ensure safety from harmful outdoor elements

This reminds me of a tv show that I was watching a few days ago where researchers mixed the elderly people from a retirement home with a kindergarten class and the elderly took care of the kids while kids brought back joy into their lives. Overall the elder participants’ health improved drastically and they made great friends with the children. A similar approach maybe helpful here?

    2. ntersectional analysis elucidates that no collection of experiences is felt equally by different individuals merely due to common life positions; it is the understanding that every intersection in a person’s life leads to a different experience of the world around them and that common intersections of race, gender, or class, do not necessarily equal common experiences

This to me seems like common sense, yet I see many people attacking the idea of intersectionality!

I live in a small city with basically no public transport other than taxis (here taxis have different starting and finishing points and people can get off at any point between the two). For people who are carrying a stroller or using a wheelchair, this is not an option. We can also use services like Uber here but that can get very expensive. I remember when I was in elementary school and we didn't own a car back then, me and my mother had to wake up much earlier in the morning to get to school/work. We had to walk for a long time in the cold, rainy weather for the most part except for a short taxi ride and the taxi drivers never had their heaters on which did not help. Now this is only 5-6 years of my life but my mom had to deal with it for most of her adult life, even when she was living in Tehran (capital of Iran). So sometimes even if you are able to use public transportation, it may not be a very pleasant experience for you. One more point that I'd like to add is that we have been solely relying on our personal vehicles since the beginning of the Covid situation because of health and safety reasons. 5 strangers in a car that is constantly dropping off and picking up new people is not exactly rational right now. But what can the people who do not own a car do?

When talking about marginalized groups, we usually think about minorities. But we are not talking about minorities when it comes to women. In fact we are talking about the majority (by a small percentage of course) so how is it that for so long we have been treated as a minority? Not that marginalizing minorities is ok of course.

And there are probably no queer women on the list. This is problematic because for example, even cis women don't know what it is like to be a trans woman and what challenges trans women face. If we add other marginalization intersection like race and disability, we would face much more complicated challenges that we need to solve.

Is it helpful to make this program mandatory?

This to me is very important. It’s like you can’t treat everyone in the ER the same way. Some may be cured, some may not get what they need but don’t be harmed by the unfit treatment and then there is a third group that may be harmed by that same “treatment”.
