What stood out to me is that the purpose of this kind of tech is not necessarily just to embarrass someone but can also discourage them from speaking or participating publicly. It shows tech can become a tool of power, especially when it can become sexualized content or used to intimidate someone.

This stood out to me since social media can make certain gender roles seem much more normal and desirable than they are people are constantly being exposed to content about what men and women are supposedly to look like or act like. I think this is espesically important for young people because algorithms can repeatedly show them the same ideas until they start to feel like commmon sense rather than one particular perspective.

It makes me think about how difficult it can be to challenge an argument when its presented as being about safety.
