The juxtaposition of "right" and "okay" is so interesting-- I have definitely done this before myself. The step of defining what a right is is critical to understanding. So many messages are being sent that are not apparent on the surface!

I think this word is so important because many adults "tolerate" or "condescend" rather than appreciating and respecting

This reminds me of the article from our observation class that discussed observing the actual lives of children rather than imposing our adult interpretations of them.

Life experiences, traumas, and relationships are so definitive of who children are and how they behave-- grownups, too!
