The fact that men have successfully made women turn against each other and lose their core values is so sad but also very understandable.
they have worked hard bothwithin and outside the home and yet have often been dismissedinthe most offhand stereotyping both by the radica] ma1e left and bymale "liberals."
Women will never fully be appreciated for the amount that they put on their plates, especially in the sense that no one acknowledges that taking care of the home IS a full time job in itself. It goes to show that truly unless woman are the best in a highly regarded field, while also being good mothers, men will always discredit their accomplishment or expect more from them.

This is such an interesting statement because oppositely, men's method of teaching is purely hierarchical. It begs the question, is it only the oppressed groups who want to away with a society structured hierarchically?

This is so disturbing. The fact that women could not support other women in their field simply because it would hurt their own careers and reputation is truly horrible.
This doesnot and neednot meanthat the entire apparatus of masculine intellectualachievementshouldbe scrapped,or that womenshouldsimplytum thewholeap-paratusinsideout and substitute"she" for "he."
It is important to acknowledge that are not being so radical as to try and reverse the roles to make women the dominant gender in history/academia, but rather are searching for a balance to create more fairness.

This would be so infuriating as a student. I'm grateful that at least this aspect has changed at least a little bit because all of my professors that I look up to have been women.

This is very true both then and now. Very subtly (but sometimes very obviously) women are presented as inferior to men in all forms of academia.

This speaks to the fact that women have always been taught that they stand as the emotional support for their families, and have always been told to be well-mannered and kind to others. I think this still rings very true to how women are raised today. With this however, women also often get pushed around because of putting others first. I think this statement rings really true because women will never make definite process if they do not make themselves the first priority.

It is as though men use "nature" as an excuse for why women are not their equivalents and therefore cannot be treated as such. Worse yet, women have proved time and time again that they are so far from the delicate flowers they are described.

No matter how much women strive to make themselves involved in academia, it is the changes in day to day life that will make the most impact in terms of ensuring a more equitable society.

What really struck me when reading this was realizing that my innitial reaction was to think that "woman-centered university" would never be acceptable in even todays society. To me it's sad that men are so unwilling to acknowledge the lack of inclusion of women in history, to the point that they do not understand the need for women-focused universities.
