Its important to derive from what others say in their responses and go deeper into the topic of discussion, while also learning new things and seeing what other's opinions on things are!
You must demonstrate leadership abilities small group discussion, but balance this with an awareness that the quality(rather than the quantity)of speaking and writing completed in a term is the real hallmark of excellence.
I completely agree with this, as one of the most important things we learn about through out our college careers is the use of engaging in what we have previous knowledge in and using that in what we respond in rather than how long a post is.
