When you return to this page from viewing English winning books, it takes you to the French finalists in the same category.
Same problem as in English: when I select TOUT VOIR, I lose the option to see Gagnants only.
Is it just my computer? The cover of Le tendon et l'os in the banner image looks blurry.
The translator stepped into the author’s shoes. Her version accurately renders the text’s deep sensitivity through balanced phrasing and perfect style—a mix of preciseness and creativity. The transpositions are inventive and the rhythm is consistent.
Move to citation section.

This is the jury citation. Move to the jury citation area. Also, I don't think it ends properly. It shouldn`t end with 2 periods.

Harper Avenue/HarperCollins Publishers; distributed by the publisher
On all the winner pages, is it clear that the publishing house listed is the publisher? Not really. Had we included Published by in past years?
In Five Wives, Thomas delivers a compelling and powerful story about an encounter that alters the lives of those involved for generations. Set in a world where Indigenous peoples, missionaries and the forces of global capitalism collide, Thomas’s tale provides a nuanced examination of Operation Auca—a historical event that took place in Ecuador in 1956. This book raises important questions about religious fervour, autonomy and legacies of violence. Ambitiously conceived and beautifully written, this book is a masterful achievement.”
Comment for all winner pages: There is nothing indicating that this is the PAC citation.
Photo: Bruce Thomas Barr Biography Joan Thomas is the author of four novels: Five Wives, The Opening Sky, Curiosity, and Reading by Lightning. Her work has won the Amazon First Novel Award, a Commonwealth Writers’ Prize and the McNally Robinson Prize. Additionally, it has been nominated for the Giller Prize, the International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award and a previous Governor General’s Literary Award. In 2014, Thomas was the recipient of the Writers’ Trust Engel/Findley Prize for a writer in mid-career. She lives in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
General comment for all winner pages: I just feel like the spacing is immense here on this page. The winner photos and bio are so low on the page.
