we are driving these changes and we know what we are doing. we are aware of the reality of the Anthropocene. We are actively changing the future of our planet. "what responsibilities, for the DH community, does this knowledge imply?." (pgi5) We know what we are doing, This is the important shift. we can help determine what future we want for the planet. DH we must raise our voices.

2. DH has a public and transformative role to play : Big Data and The Longue Duree

2. foster collaborations
3. find nobility in metadata enhancement, project maintenance & forward migration
4. more agendas of empathy
5. greater attention to matters of accessibility, minimal c computing (not sure what this is exactly!!)
6. Libraries - need robust discourse around ephemerality. ( this is the concept of things being transitory, existing only briefly.)
7. attend to the environmental & human cost of DH : CARBON FOOTPRINT , PRICE TAG
8. bring technological savvy & deep historical conscience into the politics of 21st century.
9. Amplify our voices

Note: Social & Political (D Trump!) resistance to scientific consensus of global warming/climate change. a barrier to what Latour wants for the Environment. Concept of The Anthropocene will get us to shift our perspectives, Humanities to help / take up challenge that we think on a global scale, interdisciplinary, create discourse outside the scientific field, ie popular magazines The Economist (26 May, 2011), bring discussion to public forum, TED Talks, Art Installations.....
