    1. PwC, the world's second-largest professional services network, predicts that automated operations will jeopardize 38 percent of jobs in the United States by 2030. 35 percent of jobs in Germany, 30 percent of jobs in the United Kingdom, and 21 percent of jobs in Japan are also exposed to high risk because of automation. Along the same lines, Forrester Research estimates that cognitive technologies, including AI and ML, will replace 16 percent of jobs in the U.S. by 2025.

I feel like this is going to have a significant impact on the job market. There are many risks of potential job losses, especially in the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom and Japan, revealing widespread concerns about the rapid advancement of automation technology. 38% of U.S. jobs could be jeopardized by automation, a sizable number that illustrates the scale of the anticipated transformation of the workforce. This is consistent with the broader trend of automation affecting various industries, so technological progress and the balance of labor welfare will become the focus of the future of work.(Fujie Cai Marcus)

    1. and he thought we ought to take advantage of it.  Then he walked behind the podium and started the day’s lecture.

This is a very interesting sentence! It's just the end of the paragraph. But it sums up the point: all the actions up to this point were because of this statement. This is something that has to be faced, no matter how bloody, no matter what camp, no matter what opinion, this is what medical students should do.

    2. The amphitheater buzzed.

"The amphitheater buzzed." The first paragraph has already mentioned quietness, but the word 'buzzed' is used here. It highlights the sharp contrast and expresses the students' fear of cutting a dog's chest.
