1. China declares an emergency national red alert due to the pollution levels. It has caused many of the leading health problems in China. The pollution causes major problems environmentally, and health effects.

Only 42% of are deemed fit for swimming and fishing, while 8% was even unfit for industrial/factory use. Overall, this shows that half of China's water sources are too dirty for safe consumption.

China's citizen have many problems due to the pollution, like for example their water sources are dirty. and have been "poisoned." Chemicals and other dead organisms like pigs float down the river, contaminating nearby other water sources.

China's pollution has gotten so bad that it decreased 6 years from the life expectancy. The pollution claims many lives from babies, and many others, the statistics are that 1.2 million people die due to the pollution annually.

China's air problem was spreading to other near regions. People at the 2008 Olympic games could finally see a stretch of clear weather which they state something they had not seen in over 10 years.

Estimations of only %1 of China's urban dwellers have access to, and breathe "safe" air as in non-polluted air. Many officials, and organizations recommend residents to stay inside due to the air being so polluted.

The use of fossil fuels like coal has negative affects upon the air in China, and causes pollution. Industrialization, as well as cars overall generate horrible air conditions and pollute the air.

China is starting to realize their air is completely polluted and there needs to be reform. It is causing large scales of health effects upon the citizens of China, and there must be change.
