    1. ghost dancers who were massacred as even some Americans said at the time that they were massacred for practicing their own version of what is what is in a

I think the Ghost Dance was a form of technology. I think when it comes to native Americans, there is a tendency to see them and their ways of life as archaic, outdate, and less advance. I think it is easy to have a colonizers point of view and immediately dismiss it as technology, but I think it can be considered technology. I think just because it didn't have to do with wheels, or machines does not mean it wasn't a form of technology for them. I think it was an attempt to relive the past, to bring things back, and as a module for memories and memory storing, I think it is a form of technology for the Native Americans.

    1. country from east coast to west coast in four weeks as you can see from the map so it was faster for people to travel and it was also faster for goods to

I think this is very interesting because in less than thirty years, how fast you could travel across the United States. I think this really shows the annihilation of time, and the rapid movement of modernization. It took so long to even get to a point of advance transportation like the railroad, and now in 20 something years, it was possible to travel the countries in four weeks. The railroad system in America grew very rapidly and the railroad industry was reshaping the entire landscape of America, signifying the importance of speed in the modern world.

I found this interesting in how the world has evolved so much around oil and the petroleum system and how for a long time after this, the standard oil octopus really still does have its tentacles controlling industries and the government in many ways. The level to which it gained control and created wars in the modern day world would be unfathomable to those from the early 1900's. This really was a turning point in history and I think viewing it as a part of nature becoming technology as these things naturally occur in the world and are utilized for technology is an interesting development.
