    1. And thus, Socrates, gods and men are said to unite in making the life of the unjust better than the life of the just.

I disagree because being just is better than being unjust. By being just you are going to be rewarded in life while being unjust you will be punished.

    2. I want to hear justice praised in respect of itself

I agree that I want to understand the meaning of Justice within itself. It has been said that justice is something desirable and is used to get out of fear. You only hear justice when someone mentions injustice, but justice should be praised by itself as said in the book.

    3. In the highest class, I replied,—among those goods which he who would be happy desires both for their own sake and for the sake of their results. Then the many are of another mind; they think that justice is to be reckoned in the troublesome class, among goods which are to be pursued for the sake of rewards and of reputation, but in themselves are disagreeable and rather to be avoided.

This goes back to our discussion in class about how we all interpret justice in different ways. One may see justice as something good and happy while another person may see it as a punishment because they did something wrong. An example would be how many Black Lives Mater protests are used seek protest for a victim against police brutality. That justice that that victim receives is good, however it's not good for the police or the person who committed the crime because they are getting punished for it.
