Productivity is the amount of goods and services one worker can produce.
Productivity also ties to efficiency. There are so many things that can tie into this. Efficiency and productivity can be affected by the employees passion for the workplace, the access to proper technologies, and proper workload. The productivity of a company is a whole system with many moving parts.
If you were a small business owner, would you consider sharing the company’s financial data with employees? Explain your reasoning.
I am conflicted about this as I see pros and cons for each situation. On one hand, If the employees are given access to the financials of a company they may feel as though they are a bigger part of the company and be inclined to care more and be more helpful. On the other hand they may become bitter and jealous of those making more money and that could create an unhealthy work environment.
No one business is large or powerful enough to create major changes in the external environment. Thus, managers are primarily adapters to, rather than agents of, change.
This reminds me of a quote I once heard. I do not remember who it was by but it basically explained that we cannot control what happens in the world. We can only control our reactions. We must adapt, we are not the agents of change.
Commodities that are useful inputs in their natural state are known as natural resources. They include farmland, forests, mineral and oil deposits, and water.
I thought that patenting a natural resource isnt allowed... If so how are these companies able to use them for their product in their natural state? do they have to alter the natural resource to be able to utilize it?
