Those with a growth mindset had a very straightforward (and correct) idea of effort
I think that this is unfair to call it correct. Every mind is different and with different home lives it impacts every way our mind is develop.

Why does our mind do this? What in the creation of our mind made us have this trigger?
Make them authors, not witnesses.
This is extremely interesting choice of words and really gives you a image in your head. This makes it last in your mind and you can really ponder on what the author is trying to convey.
Don’t fear the pause. Most of us stop listening to a comment about halfway through so we can be ready with a response.
I believe that the "pause" is a extremely beneficial and is often overlooked. I think that it will greatly improve a conversation and also help with repeating one another.
Ask open-ended questions. Many of us have a horrible tendency to ask questions that imply judgment
I think that asking open ended questions is helpful but I also think that we should elaborate in our responses. This would allow for deep rich conversation.
