    1. “One benefit of 3D printing is fast turnaround times. Following a call on Friday afternoon, our team met up over the weekend to create initial design ideas. The following Monday we scanned the original cast to create a 3D model and were ready to start printing the same day. The titanium cast took around 65 hours to print,

what was Gladys doing during those three days without a cast, were there prototypes?

    2. The zoo said she will have the cast for about four weeks and will stay behind the scenes as she heals.

four weeks is a relatively short time for a cast, would it not be longer?

    3. “It’s not unusual for gorillas to have altercations, and this one was actually a minor squabble,” Victoria McGee, Cincinnati Zoo’s Zoological Manager of Primates said in a statement. “She must have fallen in just the wrong way to break her arm, but the result was a complete, oblique facture of her distal humerus.”

it brings into the question, what are the worse scuffles between gorillas because if an arm broke because of a monor one, what could happen with a major fight?

    1. it’s easier to file paperwork in a snowstorm than to break ground on a new home. Housing activity, like consumer spending and mining output, should pick up in February and March as the weather becomes less of a factor.”

so many statistics and not a single survey to look for, at this point, the numbers hold no meaning to me as every link takes me to another article.

    2. Overall, the picture is one of inflation that is proving stickier than the Fed would like and reaffirms Chairman Jerome Powell’s recent comments that dashed hopes of a March cut in interest rates.

took me a while to mention but I don't see the full survey anywhere here, everything else leads to another article.

    3. The February index rose 0.6 points to 79.6 after posting strong gains in the prior two months. The index of consumer expectations, a forecast of how Americans see the economy in the coming months, is now up 21.6% from a year ago.

one thing that was pointed out in class was the use of unneeded precision, in polls. many polls do this to make it seem like it is precise, but looking into it just shows overcompensation.

    1. Biden is planning to fight them

The comments with Biden fighting make it look this is more of a struggle, something Biden has to combat if he wants to win the election. it almost feels tactical, how biden plans his next move.

    2. Trump and his MAGA allies have been working for years to pre-rig the 2024 election.

The terminology used in this sentence makes it so trump would be in the lead through his allies. The way the word "MAGA Allies" is used looks like a group trump has full control of which he does.

    1. “we are standing back to allow the Coast Guard and search and rescue to continue search and rescue operations while we gather information from the command post.”

The situation seems to be mostly under control as it getsinvestgated.

    2. The vessel is currently holding its position at the site of the collision and is in a stable condition and all 22 of the ship’s crew members are safe and accounted for, the agency added.

The article focuses a lot on the people and their experiences with the incident taking place. a lot of the people were affected by the bridge's collapse.

    3. “The NTSB doesn’t speculate, we provide facts,” Homendy said. “So there isn’t a lot we can share right now because the focus has been on the people.”

the idea that this is more a people oriented disaster instead of a blame game, it shows that not everything has to be a back and forth arguement.

    1. Republicans have tried to capitalize on that dynamic for electoral advantage, hugging Mr. Netanyahu closer as Democrats repudiate him.

This specific line paints a black-and-white dynamic between the left and the right, while the right do have some individuals trying to capitalize on the dynamic President Biden is in, a lot of right leaning individuals also repudiate him for allowing Netanyahu to continue this initiative.

    2. Many Democratic lawmakers have condemned Mr. Netanyahu’s leadership and his right-wing governing coalition, and President Biden has even criticized the Israeli military’s offensive in Gaza as “over the top.”

Biden has criticized Netanyahu's methods but clearly he shows bias towards the state of Israel because of associations America has with it, and still funds the country despite wht the funds are going to.

    3. Mr. Schumer added: “He has been too willing to tolerate the civilian toll in Gaza, which is pushing support for Israel worldwide to historic lows. Israel cannot survive if it becomes a pariah.”

Throughout the entire article, Mr. Schumer talks in a tone on the behalf of the state of Israel, but heavily criticizing Netanyahu in particular. showing that he believes the most important solution is to get Netanyahu out of office so that Israel as a state can put the right foot forward.
