    1. Members of the economic elite were often pampered by the political elite to ensure a continued mutuality of interests, especially in the repression of "have-not" citizens.

This is an issue in that elites stay the same. There is no real room for growth from the outside or for people to climb into that since elites are already selected out.

    2. The military was seen as an expression of nationalism, and was used whenever possible to assert national goals, intimidate other nations, and increase the power and prestige of the ruling elite.

Here is one of the main problems with military power. It comes down to using it correctly. Using it incorrectly can lead to more conflict within and exterior.

    3. From the prominent displays of flags and bunting to the ubiquitous lapel pins, the fervor to show patriotic nationalism, both on the part of the regime itself and of citizens caught up in its frenzy was always obvious.

I like how this shows how support comes in different shapes and sizes. From a pin all the way to a flag. This goes both ways support for positive and support for negative.

    1. Though they can appear benign at first glance, these ideas are shot through with dangerous racial, ableist and gender biases about which parts of humanity are worth enhancing and saving – and which could be sacrificed for the supposed good of the whole.

Many of these ideas that carry these characteristics end up sticking with people. This means some people end up taking to heart these negative ideas do not benefit anyone but those in power.

    2. This is a belief system that is genocidal at its core and treasonous to the wonder and beauty of this world

To think that a belief system would be genocidal is telling. It shows how badly priorities are set and that is never good. How would a system like this ever even work out?

    3. Footage of shackled immigrants being loaded on to deportation flights, set to the sounds of clanking chains and locking cuffs, which the official White House X account labeled “ASMR”, a reference to audio designed to calm the nervous system

This is honestly really crazy how they would even consider this type of footage "ASMR" or even remotely relaxing. This is treating human beings as an object, as simple entertainment which is wrong in so many different ways.

    1. A Gallup poll has shown support for animal rights has grown since 2008.

This is interesting since I have not really heard much on animal rights for a second. I think it was something that was popular for a long time but I am not sure on how it is right now.

    2. In the United States, the idea of different races mixing in public or women’s suffrage were once considered fringe, extreme policies.

It is pretty shocking to think back that the mixing of races was seen as something so taboo. It was highly frowned upon and it is crazy to think since we are all human.

    1. They aren’t open to being persuaded, no matter how strong the evidence presented to them, which is why we should stop playing their game.

Honestly, I think part of the problem comes from people wanting to be ignorant. People do not want to understand that it is a real issue and they stay on that perspective. They refuse to accept the reality and in a way this feeds into it.

    2. Now, imagine that 350 years into this society’s existence, laws were finally passed to prohibit the discrimination that had been its hallmark for 15 generations — not because of some grand moral epiphany, mind you, but because the resistance of that society’s victims had finally forced a comeuppance.

It really is hard to see and believe that certain ethnic groups were discriminated against just because the perspective of one group. It is even crazier that change did not happen out of the goodness of their hearts, rather it was something that was fought for.

    1. It sees public schools as responsive to “leftists advocates intent on indoctrination,” rather than parents.

Just from what I am reading on this section it seems that the right wing is trying to take a bigger grasp on school by removing certain things that are essential but do not align with their plans.

    2. The Project characterizes public schools as poisoning and indoctrinating children with leftist ideologies and undermining parents’ role in their children’s education, and advocates for private schooling (often religious) paid for by public monies.

I feel that this is more of a way of trying to push a certain religion forward since right now technically public school are not supposed to talk about religion.

    3. The project alleges that “HHS and ORR (Office of Refugee Resettlement) have forgotten their original refugee-resettlement mission and instead have provided a panoply of free programs that incentivize people to come to the U.S. illegally.

I feel that often times the only thing seen is that immigrats sometimes come illegaly. What is often times not seen and not taken into consideration is why they are migrating and why they often put their lives at risk to come over to the U.S.

    4. One of the pillars of Project 2025 is “Defend Our Borders,” and it demonizes immigrants as a crime-ridden plague.

It really is frustrating to see how imigrants are being seen as a problem. The United States really has an immigration foundation and it really is crazy for imigrants to now be treated as problems.

    5. And for those who might persist in DEI efforts, it calls for termination of their employment.

They are not only just trying to get rid of DEI programs but they are also trying silence those who do not agree with their ideas. The jobs of those who dare speak against them are at risk just based on their opinions.

    6. Project 2025 generally sees ending DEI and equity programs as a way to stop “woke revolutionaries

It really is crazy to see how project 2025 was actually trying to stop DEI programs since it saw them as "woke revolutionaries." I think that project 2025 was using that as an excuse to get rid of these programs that promote diversity and inclusion. They want only a select few to stay in power with is the opposite of what DEI programs aim to do.
