Online vigilantism has been around since the early days of the internet. So has “doxxing” — originally a slang term among hackers for obtaining and posting private documents about an individual, usually a rival or enemy. To hackers, who prized their anonymity, it was considered a cruel attack.
This statement was interesting to me as although I knew what the word doxxing was I never knew what the word actually meant.

Ronak Patel says the amount of the work used in the meme probably supports the meme creators if the image was a still of another work, usually making up a small percentage of the original, but not if the original work was a photograph in which the whole of the work was being used
I found this statement to be interesting because I do agree with what was said and feel as if this is overlooked by many

Goddell failed to mention Colin Kaepernick in his statement, however, the still jobless NFL quarterback, who, in 2016, would take the knee during the American national anthem in protest against police brutality and racial injustice, in doing so sparking the rebirth of athlete activism.
This was interesting to me because when Kaepernick used to kneel back in 2016 to protest against police brutality and racial injustice he was looked at the bad guy. But today it a lot more common to see NFL player kneeling at the national anthem.

Headlines were made early last year at a Utah Jazz game when a fan allegedly directed "disrespectful" and "racial" comments toward former Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook.
This was interesting to me as I remember when the clip of this happening blew up.

Trying a horrible experiment... Which will the Twitter algorithm pick: Mitch McConnell or Barack Obama?
Whether this was meant to be intentionally racist or not, I found it interesting as why the algorithm is like this.

The subcommittee noted that there was a 17 percent increase in reported hate crimes in 2017 from the previous year and a 31 percent increase since 2014. And in spite of the ADL’s report that white supremacists were responsible for 78 percent of extremist murders in 2018
This is interesting to me as it makes it more clear to me about how much involvement the white supremacist actual had and the impact that they made on the situation.

More people than you would think believe that the blue checkmark = trustworthy. But all the blue checkmark really does is say that the person is who they say they are, that they are the person of that name and not an imposter.
This is interesting to me as I would always tend to think that just cause someone had a blue check mark there information would be more trust worthy.

The Movement For Black Lives has, in this year of unprecedented tragedy and resolve, asked America to use its imagination in revolutionary ways. Calls to reimagine public safety by investing in mental health, employment, housing affordability, and violence disruption in Black communities have become more a part of the political mainstream than ever before.
I agree with this statement because with everything going on this year more people are coming together to support the movement.

“To move forward, we as Americans have to dismantle these violent systems — systems that enforce inequality with a brutal efficiency — and build more just, equitable systems.”
For change to be made we must go to the root cause of the problem.
