    1. Where do you see parasocial relationships on social media? In what ways are you in parasocial relationships? What are the ways in which a parasocial relationship can be authentic or inauthentic? both for the celebrity and for the viewer/follower
      • I often see it on reddit, fan pages, or twitter.
      • Even just understanding and aligning yourself with a song, art piece, or film can be considered a parasocial relationship. You can feel that you relate to a character, and thus, you understand each other, but in reality, the actors might not have the same connection.
      • It can be authentic in the way that the feeling you get with said person is real. However, it is also unauthentic because it is not a mutual relationship, not really being real.
    1. What actions would you want available immediately What actions would you want one or two steps away? What actions would you not allow users to do (e.g., there is no button anywhere that will let you delete someone else’s account)?
      1. See posts, respond, create your own, share, have the ability to use photos or videos in your post.
      2. Only allow for creditable information to be shared in a specific news tab. Limited ads and ads will be catered to the user and only for legit companies.
      3. Ability for a user to delete someone's comments, hide likes and dislikes, and remove the ability to send direct messages.
    1. If you wanted to make a profile to talk about yourself, or to show off your work, you had to create your own personal webpage, which others could visit. These pages had limited interaction, so you were more likely to load one thing at a time and look at a separate page for each post or piece of information. Communication platforms were generally separate from these profiles or personal web pages.

It is interesting how the core elements of social media today are present in the first social media platform, Web 1.0. On the previous page, it gives you an idea of how the changes in social media over time affected society. Given that with lived through this latest revolution, it's crazy to think what life might be like without Web 1.0. I remember going from communicating via telephone to text, and now the majority of my communication is through some platform of social media.

    1. Name

Pretty simple one here. You'd you a string for almost all the text. Name, address, relationship status etc is all within a string. They are just getting a value from the data you put in when you create or edit your profile.

    2. Age

Given the constraints, it is logical to assume an integer would be the most logical choice, but it is definitely not limited to just that. 0 - 120, however, is very limited. Many people do, in fact, live over the age of 120. It is a good start, though.

    1. These pauses may come in handy when posting tweets, to make it look like your bot is taking time to type in the text.

In a more complex bot, I could see think working wonders. I wonder how useful it is if you're typing your responses in your own code already. Wouldn't that just make you look like a slow writer? I'm curious to see if there's any way to make the bot type with a certain tone or on specific topics.

    1. There is no way in which police can maintain dignity in seizing and destroying a donkey on whose flank a political message has been inscribed.”

Bots do not understand or have a choice in what is posted. Instead, people get to hit behind the bot and not face consequences for what they say or do. In this case, the donkey had no choice but to spread someone else's political agenda. Yes, the donkey has no rights, but in a way, the owner gets to spread their message without any repercussions of what it may cause.

    1. We also see this phrase used to say that things seen on social media are not authentic, but are manipulated

I never understood this because I always thought of social media as a place where information and opinions could be voiced, not necessarily facts. That is why it so important to understand biases before reading and apply them to find out 'why is this person saying this.'

    1. Being and becoming an exemplary person (e.g., benevolent; sincere; honoring and sacrificing to ancestors; respectful to parents, elders and authorities, taking care of children and the young; generous to family and others). These traits are often performed and achieved through ceremonies and rituals (including sacrificing to ancestors, music, and tea drinking), resulting in a harmonious society.

I always remember the core of Confucianism was the five bonds: ruler to ruled, father to son, husband to wife, elder brother to younger brother, friend to friend. And also, filial piety: respecting/taking care of one's elders. Confucian highlights the importance of knowledge/experience. Thus, elders should be treated with respected and cherished in a household.
