      It is like a cycle...the more she gets what she wants, the more she is happy. So her happiness would become infinite if she continued getting what she wants, but when she stops getting what she wants, then she will be sad.

      For example, at Randolph, I derive happiness from pushing myself in my academics and achieving high grades. However, the person sitting next to me may derive happiness from doing really well at a sports game. Both versions of happiness are valid.

      I disagree with this philosophy on happiness because something that is not pleasurable can still make a person happy. A person's happiness is measured in a lot of different ways, and pleasure is only a single factor; not the deciding factor.

      I think well-being and happiness are two different concepts. Eating healthy and exercising contributes to well-being, but the person being healthy may not be happy.
