This is kind of the last statement we get from Richard and also the last showing of his character. We can see throughout the play Richard didn't really have any inner movement and is still as greedy and cowardly as he started. He doesn't hold any noble values and is treated as such by his subjects.

It's interesting that Shakespeare chose to have Richard die off scene...it's also interesting that Richard got no final speech while Richmond did. I wonder if it's because Richard is evil and Shakespeare is making a statement...by not speaking?
