      The song demons is about pain, misery and love, which is about a person acknowledging not only that he’s evil but also most of the rest of us. He also wants to protect this loved one in the song, trying to save and preserve her innocence from the “demons.” In other words, in the song he is trying to save her from becoming like the persona and the rest. The song also talks about hot people these days are “the worst of all” and all “made of greed.”

The words “hide the truth” shows care and concern the persona has for the reader, it also shows how the truths that he knows are devastating to hear and he does not want that particular person to know about the harsh things in the world. The words “shelter you,” shows how the persona wants to protect this person from the things he has experienced and all the pain he has went through. This shows that the persona want to protect and preserve the innocence of the person.
