    1. I said it at last
I know it's not a lie as
I'm voicing these words I love you

These final lines of the song are spoken with a more lighthearted tone, suggesting that they were expressed without any doubt, serving as Ai's wish and confession about her role as an idol.

      • The first line indicates a culmination or breakthrough in Ai's communication with her fans, implying a sense of relief or accomplishment for her as she breaks free from the barriers of deception.

      • The following lines carry a complex tone. On one hand, Ai asserts the authenticity of her expression, suggesting a genuine sentiment behind the words. However, the inclusion of "I know it's not a lie" hints at a lingering doubt, possibly acknowledging the prevalent theme of deception throughout the song. This contradiction adds depth to Ai's confession, indicating the multifaceted nature of the idol industry and the internal conflicts that arise. I can relate this to the theme of idolatry, recognizing that the job of an idol is intricate, demanding constant appeasement of others through layers of deception, ultimately affecting the idols themselves. This complexity highlights the challenge of balancing authenticity with the expectations of the audience.

    2. Up to this day, I've not been able to let you
And you hear me saying those meaningful words

These lines illustrate the significant gap between Ai and her fans, portraying a one-way performance where Ai struggles to establish a genuine connection to safely communicate without the restriction of her secrets.

      • The first line suggests an internal conflict within Ai, hindering her ability to be open or vulnerable with her audience. The phrase "Up to this day, I've not been able to let you" implies a persistent difficulty or resistance in revealing her true self or emotions to her fans. This reluctance might stem from the intricate web of deception she has woven or a fear of judgment if her authentic self were exposed. This dilemma underscores the theme of idolatry, emphasizing how even minor flaws can tarnish the image of a public figure.

      • The subsequent line highlights the irony of Ai expressing sentiments of love or meaningful words to her audience despite the internal struggle mentioned earlier. This creates a poignant contrast, suggesting a potential incongruence between her public persona and private emotions. This evokes the emotion of pity in me, as Ai dedicates herself entirely to her fans as an idol but remains unable to experience reciprocal love due to the necessity of minimizing interactions that could unveil her secrets.

    3. I'm wishing that one day they come true

This line conveys Ai's genuine desire for a 'mutual relationship' with her fans, possibly driven by a yearning for meaningful connections and emotional fulfillment, as suggested by the earlier lines, "I recall no one that loved me whole before
, And I've not been in love with anybody before." The use of the word "wishing" implies a sincere aspiration, reflecting Ai's confidence in manifesting this desire into reality.

However, the term "wishing" also introduces an element of uncertainty or potential impossibility, as wishes are often associated with hopes that may not materialize. The phrase "one day" further emphasizes this uncertainty, indicating that achieving a mutual relationship may be a distant or challenging goal for Ai. This highlights a sense of helplessness, as Ai, despite her success in the idol industry, faces barriers to realizing this wish due to the extensive web of lies she has woven. This evokes the emotion of sympathy in me, as it becomes apparent that Ai is genuinely attempting to turn over a new leaf but is constrained by the repercussions she may face, including the potential sacrifice of her reputation and the worst of all, her career as an idol.

    4. And so, today, I lie again
The words I vocalize inside of me

These lines can be interpreted as Ai reflecting on her deceptions to the public and expressing the continuation of falsehood in her communication—possibly to turn over a new leaf.

      • The first line conveys a sense of resignation or acceptance in Ai's admission of creating lies. Additionally, the use of the word "today" indicates that this act of lying is a recurring event in her present, almost like a common thing to do, hinting at signs of desperation as an idol.

      • The second line introduces a layer of complexity to Ai's deception. The choice of "vocalize" implies an external expression of words, possibly to her fans. However, the juxtaposition with "inside of me" reveals a contrast between the spoken words and her internal thoughts. This duality suggests a disconnect between Ai's public persona and her true feelings or thoughts. The use of the word "inside" conveys a sense of hidden emotions or concealed truths, contributing to the internal conflict and the facade that Ai maintains. I can relate this to the theme of deception, indicating that lying isn't something that can be easily stopped in its tracks but must be battled against to stop it.

    5. So, sincerely, what I'm wishing for
Is to love each of you with all my heart

These two lines reveal the pure side of Ai, where she isn't speaking from her voracious self but rather from an apparent sincerity and her desire to love each of her fans wholeheartedly. (PLOT TWIST????)

      • The use of the word "sincerely" suggests that Ai is genuine in her expression and earnest in her intentions, conveying a sense of authenticity, especially considering the context of the surrounding lines that discuss lies and deceit. The phrase "what I'm wishing for" can also imply that Ai is revealing her true wish or aspiration. In the context of the entire song, this could be seen as a moment of vulnerability where Ai unveils a genuine desire beneath the many layers of deception, showing that she may not be the worst after all.

      • The second line expresses a sentiment of deep affection toward her fans. However, considering the recurring theme of deception toward her fans, there could be a layer of irony or insincerity in this line, suggesting that Ai may have a conflicted heart regarding her affections and her career, making it challenging to prioritize either one. These lines evoke an emotion of uncertainty in me, as I am not certain if I should trust the honest side of Ai, since the honest side of her was barely mentioned in the song, but rather the lying side of her was implied throughout the song, suggesting that lying may be the more prominent side of her.

    6. Yes, I am so greedy, true voracious idol

This line suggests Ai's acknowledgment and acceptance of her own greed, portraying herself as a voracious idol.

      • The use of "greedy" highlights Ai's intense desire for success, attention, and possibly control over her image and fans. This aligns with the overarching theme of ambition and the lengths idols may go to achieve and maintain their status.

      • The phrase "true voracious idol" intensifies the characterization. "True" implies authenticity in her voracity, emphasizing that this is an inherent and genuine aspect of her identity as an idol. "Voracious" amplifies the notion of insatiable hunger, indicating Ai's unyielding appetite for fame, admiration, and success in her career. I can relate this back to the theme of greed, as it is only human to always strive for better when you are already successful, but pushing too hard to attain more than one can handle can be detrimental to emotional well-being. In the context of the performing industry, the potential backlash from the public becomes more significant if an idol's excessive greed is exposed.

    7. Now, the lies I'm making up
I'm hoping that a day comes when they all become true
And I keep wishing they do
      • The first line conveys a sense of honest acknowledgment by Ai that her public figure as an idol is constructed on a foundation of lies. The use of "making up" implies a deliberate act of creating a disguise, revealing the artificial nature of her projected image. I can link it back to the themes of deception and expectations, as sometimes a disguise of perfection needs to be made up to fit the expectations of the public - the pivotal thing as an idol.

      • The second and third line adds a layer of complexity to Ai's perspective. Despite the admission of deception, there's a desire or aspiration for the falsehoods to transform into reality. This could indicate Ai's longing for her idealized image to align with her true self or a hope for a day when the constructed narrative becomes authentic, allowing her to actually be her true self in front of her fans. It could also show of Ai's self-abasement, as she may be embarrassed that she is only recognized underneath a mask, and that she has to always perfect that mask, instead of being the true her, since she herself has too many flaws that she's not willing to show to the public.

    8. One day, I will hold everything that I pursue

This marks the beginning of the chorus with the utmost intensity in Ai's thoughts.

      • This line resonates with strong tones of ambition and greed, evident in words such as "hold" and "pursue." It reflects her aspirations extending beyond her current status, indicating a thirst for more in her idol career—perhaps a desire to present her true self to the audience without the lies and facades. This connects with the recurring theme of idolatry and deception, portraying how idols strive to embody an admired persona, maintaining a flawless image. Despite the numerous lies used to construct this perfect image, the spotless version of a person remains the ultimate goal.

      • The word "hold" conjures imagery of someone tightly grasping something, intensifying the tone of greed. "Everything" conveys Ai's profound ambition, suggesting hyperbole. This could imply her eagerness to "hold everything," encompassing the desire to manipulate fans and the media, as idols consistently pursue fame and attention—hallmarks of success in the performing industry. This elicits a sense of fear in me, prompting contemplation on whether current performers I admire exert complete control over their fame and fans, raising questions about our role as mere pawns in their game.

    9. Secret side, I wanna know it so mysterious

The word choices of "secret" and "mysterious" spark curiosity in our hearts, making us want to know and find out, showing the clear line between Ai's work and personal life. All her fans want to discover more about her, as they aspire to know everything about someone they admire, linking back to the theme of Idolatry. People tend to worship and try to follow in their idol's footsteps by emulating similar actions or aspects they discover about them.

    10. Keeping everything about my secret deep inside

The metaphor and imagery of 'deep inside' suggest that Ai possesses a very careful and secretive character. This can be inferred from the metaphorical definition of 'deep inside,' which conveys the emotional and psychological depth at which Ai keeps her secrets, implying that her personal matters are carefully guarded from public scrutiny. Additionally, this notion is reinforced by the imagery associated with 'deep inside,' suggesting that Ai's secrets are held in a secluded and unreachable place. This further underscores her secretive nature, which helps maintain her flawless image as an idol and mitigates the risk of defamation. I can relate this back to the theme of idolatry, where even a single stain can tarnish the entire dress, highlighting the high stakes faced by public figures, that people with ill intentions will always try to create negative waves about them.

    11. The gaps and shortcomings, don't show’em
 Dammit, dammit
Parts nobody wants to know should remain hidden
      • These two lines accurately describe the hectic efforts required to maintain a perfect image as an idol. Since no one is ever truly perfect, lies must be employed, and the "gaps and shortcomings" must be concealed for the ideal image. In this case, it is the group mates trying to uphold Ai's image as the top idol, as they are also her supports and want to ensure the maintenance of their reputation.
      • The personification of "Parts nobody wants to know" by referring to them as "remain hidden" suggests that the unglamorous aspects of Ai may potentially lead to significant chaos, akin to how human flaws can. It also emphasizes the importance of concealing these aspects, as nobody in Ai’s performing group wishes to witness the group facing consequences due to one of Ai’s mistakes. These points can be linked back to the theme of deception, as, since no one is perfect, lies will always come into play, but with the ultimate consequence. Hence, the idols will always try to hide it as to prevent negative implications.
    12. How can we not feel jealous while being around

This line once again highlights the jealousy and envy that the group members harbor towards Ai, emotions they silently endure in their professional lives. It's akin to performing a job that seems to validate their lack of worth. I can relate this back to the theme of expectations, where in the performing industry, individuals may struggle to succeed if they fail to meet the fans' expectations, underscoring the inherent challenges and cruelty of the industry.

    13. There cannot be weaknesses to find

As this chorus is more or less the voices of AI’s group mates, This can be explained that Ai, even in front of her group mates who work with her, seems impeccable, reiterating that Ai keeps her imperfections and “elusive” side very well hidden - her biggest strength of being an idol, as the charisma and influence will only stem from the perfect image. I can relate this to the theme of idolatry, where only spotless impressions can make the cut for a popular idol.

    14. That emotion seized all hearts worshiping you

This line is sung again with a higher word intensity from the previous chorus, but this time with slight hints of Ai's ambition - to capture people's hearts for fame as an idol. The personification of the emotion that "seized all hearts" now has a higher word intensity by using the word "seized," adding aggression to what used to be "melt." This shows that figuratively, Ai is going to take the fans' hearts by force, using her sheer scale of influence and charisma. This suggests that Ai is gradually losing control of her ambition to be admired and loved by everyone as an idol, resulting in her going to extremes to get attention, as we can see later on in this song. I can link this back to the theme of idolatry, indicating that although having people admire you is nice, overstepping your ambitions to gain even more fame will eventually lead you to do something extreme, which defeats the original meaning of an "idol," implying that success can drive people to extremes. To sum up, the success makes Ai crave for even more, but perhaps more than she can handle.

    15. I recall no one that loved me whole before
And I've not been in love with anybody before

The lines suggest a sense of isolation or a lack of genuine emotional connection in Ai's personal life, contributing to the explanation of why she doesn't find emotional value in love.

      • The first line shows Ai expressing a feeling of not having experienced complete or unconditional love from someone else. This could imply a sense of loneliness or a void in her life, where she hasn't encountered a person who truly loved her for who she is. This line evokes a sense of pity in me, as it is sad for Ai to have never felt love before, a common feeling we experience when growing up. This may also be the reason that Ai is emotionally insensitive to love, as she herself has never personally experienced it.

      • The second line further emphasizes Ai's lack of romantic and intimate involvement, stating that she has "not been in love with anybody before." This could suggest a deliberate choice of her demanding career as an idol, where she finds the feeling of love from all her fans worshipping her as their idol enjoyable, thus deciding to continue with the journey. I can link this back to the theme of idolatry, as enjoying the love of millions from their perspective of a heavenly figure is possible when working tirelessly to garner their attention.

    16. lying surely is the greatest kind of love

The phrase "lying surely is the greatest kind of love" in the line suggests a complex and maybe even ironic perspective on the theme of love within the context of Ai.

      • On one hand, it could be interpreted as a sum-up on the performing industry, implying that presenting a carefully crafted, idealized image built on lies is a necessary aspect of being an idol, showing the difficulty being an idol, or an influencer in general.

      • It may also convey the idea that creating a disguise, even if it involves deception, is a form of expressing love to the audience and fans. In the competitive world of entertainment, maintaining a certain image and meeting the expectations of fans is a crucial element of an idol's career. I can link this back to the theme of idolatry and deception, that the act of presenting a perfected version of oneself, even if it involves some level of dishonesty, is showing their level of commitment and love to the fans who follows the idol.

    17. The brightest star is residing in you
      • This line further suggests that Ai possesses something extraordinary, allowing her to stand out among others in the same idol industry, according to her group mates' perspectives.
      • The word intensity has increased from "reborn" in the first chorus to "residing," and since this part is conveyed by Ai's group mates who work with her frequently, they have a clearer understanding than anyone about Ai's abilities as an idol. Hence, it holds more weight when her group mates affirm that she is special in the performing industry.
    18. If it's different, no way, no way

This line reflects the group mates' perspective that Ai's greatness and godly consistency as an idol will not change, as she will always continue to shine brightly, just as she always has. This evokes a sense of shock in me, as I would have never thought that someone could be so consistent with their performances, considering the potential exhaustion. I can relate this back to the theme of expectations, where Ai consistently has to deliver her best show to avoid falling short of her fans' and group mates’ ever-growing expectations.

    19. It's the way I know to show my love, without a doubt

From the line, it suggests that Ai perceives expressing love to her fans through her performances as the most genuine and effective way. The phrase "without a doubt" indicates Ai's confidence in spreading love to her fans.

      • It implies that Ai believes her actions on stage, such as singing, dancing, and engaging with the audience, are the truest way to show her feelings toward her fans. This could be seen as a form of artistic expression where she communicates her emotions and appreciation for her supporters through her performances as an idol.

      • However, there might be a layer of irony or contradiction in this statement, since this line can also be perceived as sarcastic, making us puzzle about the authenticity of her words. The contradiction between showing love and admitting to building her career on lies adds intrigue to Ai's character, raising questions about the realness of her expressions and the impact of her fame-driven actions.

    20. I'm in love with you, my career is built on such a lie

The line “I’m in love with you” shows a sarcastic juxtaposition with “my career is built on such a lie,” once again suggesting that the intimacy built between Ai and her fans is false, as indicated by the word “lie.”

      • The sarcastic tone of “I’m in love with you” may also convey a sense of helplessness in Ai. Despite her desire to create a genuine bond with her fans, the demands of her career make it nearly impossible. This may evoke a feeling of frustration, as the nature of the performing industry often renders even sincere expressions on stage to appear superficial. The repetition of meaningful words can diminish their impact over time, potentially leading to a perceived insincerity.

      • On the other hand, the juxtaposition of “love” in “I’m in love with you” and “lie” in “my career is built on such a lie” suggests a different perspective. It implies that Ai uses the expression of intimacy as a lie, possibly to enhance her fame and garner more attention as an idol. The repetition of “I love you” in every performance might desensitize Ai to its emotional weight, while her fans continue to be deeply affected by it. This revelation is shocking to me, as it challenges the authenticity of a phrase that typically holds significant meaning.

    21. Showing this smile, my own weapon boiling media

This marks the beginning of Ai’s own perspective.

This line references the initial statement, reflecting the fans' opinions, but with heightened intensity and a somewhat malevolent tone. The word intensity escalates from "stirring" to "boiling," emphasizing the intensified contrast between "smile" and "stirred up the media" and "smile" and "boiling media." This may imply that Ai's intentions and ambitions are progressively turning malicious, as indicated by the word choice "weapon." It illustrates Ai's deliberate use of her flawless image to garner more attention and emotions from her fans, leveraging lies and charisma to her advantage as she ascends to the pinnacle of idolhood. This elicits a sense of anger in me, as I believe it is ethically wrong to manipulate people's emotions and feelings for personal fame and achievements.

A fish hook, an open eye

    22. Such a true love, it's the realest AI

This line is the end of the perspectives by Ai’s group mates.

The phrase “such a true love” may carry a hint of sarcasm, as earlier in the song, it was indicated that the expression “I love you” serves as a tool for Ai to create the illusion of a special bond with her fans—a fabricated relationship used to garner more fame. Referring back to this line, the words “it’s the realest Ai” could be ironic when juxtaposed with “such a true love,” as Ai never genuinely meant the phrase when spoken. Therefore, the “realest Ai” mentioned here likely alludes to the version of Ai filled with deception. I can relate this back to the theme of deception, highlighting that when a lie is perpetuated, it can create a negative impression not for those directly deceived, but for those who witness the deception.

    23. Right, right, we all know she's very special, yes

This line is the start of the perspectives of Ai’s groupmates * The speakers of this line has tones of arrogance and helplessness, as we can see from the repetition of "Right, right" that the speakers are suggesting a dismissive or condescending attitude, which could be interpreted as arrogance. Additionally, the acknowledgment of someone being "very special" could be delivered with sarcasm or insincerity, contributing to an arrogant tone. The "yes" at the end of the sentence might indicate a sense of resignation or helplessness, as if the speakers are reluctantly agreeing or acknowledging the specialness of Ai despite their own feelings or opinions.

    24. So strong, it's you, unrivaled idol

This line suggests that the impression of the "unrivaled idol" is shaped by the perceptions of Ai's group mates, who are all aware that Ai is more talented than any one of them. This strength in Ai's talents and charisma may be the primary, if not the sole, reason why her group mates are content with supporting her.

    25. Using that smiling face
That I love you again
      • These two lines once again show how easily the fans’ emotions can be swayed, in this case with “that smiling face”. From the usage of “again” in “That I love you again”, we can see that AI’s charisma and talent as an idol is never changing and splendid as always, the important factor that keeps fans coming back with her as their idol again.
      • The usage of the phrase “I love you” shows emotional intimacy between the fans and Ai, which may also show that the fans are solely coming back to watch Ai as their idol as they believe that they have a special bond with her, which may just be another one of Ai’s lies as an idol.
    26. 'Cause you are perfect, the most ultimate idol

The line here suggests that the impression of the “most ultimate idol” is built on the “perfect” impressions of the fans on Ai, giving an insight of how the fans judge their idol, which is not based on their performance, but rather the character that they pursue.

    27. So, I cannot forgive you for that
Completely deny imperfect you that I sight
Myself, no pardon allowed
I won't allow anyone if it's not you, strongest of all

These four lines are spoken by the group members after accepting Ai taking the spotlight instead of them. The high intensity of words and phrases here, such as "completely deny," "no pardon allowed," and "won't allow," underscores their elevated expectations of Ai, who overpowers them as the lead. This signifies that they will only permit Ai to take the limelight from them because no one else will ever meet her standards. In other words, if they were to relinquish their careers, they would only do so when proven unworthy by a stronger individual. I can link this back to the theme of expectations, highlighting that even the performers themselves have high expectations for both themselves and their leader.

    28. \We're serving as support to her grace
Cannot tell me everything was because of her

The first line further confirms that the speakers in this part of the song are Ai's performance group members, the crew that works with her. * The words "serving" and "support" in the first line show that the other group performers are humbled by their lead performer Ai, who is the only one ever noticed by the fans. It evokes a sense of pity in me, as only the strongest and most talented person is in the limelight, while the others will always be in the shadow of the successful one, regardless of the effort made. * In the second line, I can tell that Ai's group members are still trying to take credit for the fame of Ai, which shows the envy that they have for Ai, as she is the only one that is noticed, and hence they want to feel that they are actually providing something and not just existing. This can also be reflected with the topic of grief and acceptance, where the group members are still in denial of their imperfections as compared to Ai.

    29. We had lost the fight before it started, so impressed
      • The metaphor "lost the fight before it started" suggests that the speakers already know the outcome of any discord with Ai - that Ai will prevail. This line once again has the tone of helplessness, conveying that Ai is simply better than any of them as an idol.

      • The phrase "so impressed" in the line also creates contrast and irony with "lost the fight." This signifies that the way Ai overpowers them is so great that they are left speechless in their defeat since they know they won't be able to prevail anyway. I can link this to the theme of "expectations," where people always expect idols to maintain their highest standards, as they must have a reason for worshiping them.

    30. Even when untrue, it’s your perfected AI

This is likely a fan's viewpoint on Ai, the idol that this song is referring to.

The words "untrue" and "perfected" shows juxtaposition where "untrue" conveys the acts of deceiving, and "perfected" as spotless. This could again suggest that Ai is building her idol career with lies to achieve the perfect image that her fans are crazy after, allowing her to gain more fame as an idol.

    31. The pupil that you got

The mention of pupil can show the uniqueness of Ai, which the pupil here refers to the pupil of the eye, showing that Ai is different from the rest, and more unique, since it is extremely rare and close to impossible that someone is born with an unique pupil.

    32. the brightest star reborn,
      • The personification of the "brightest star" being "reborn" suggests that Ai embodies something special, reiterating her uniqueness that all her fans admire. It may also imply that she was born to have people look up to her, just as we would look up to a star.

      • The word "brightest" also conveys a sense of competition, suggesting that Ai is the most eye-catching idol in the entire industry. This emphasizes her position as a standout figure in the competitive world of idols.

    33. Unrivaled, will not appear again
      • The word choice of "unrivaled" conveys a sense of competition, describing Ai as the best in her field and highlighting her uniqueness as an idol.

      • The line "will not appear again" gives off strong hints of uniqueness, portraying Ai's presence as a once-in-a-lifetime encounter, suggesting that she is so talented to the point where she is unparalleled. I can relate this to the theme of idolatry and expectations, emphasizing that to be the best in the performing industry, one must stand out and be a notch above everyone else since fans continually seek better artists who meet their expectations.

    34. Once again, there's somebody who's fallen for the words and cues
Made him lose his head over you
      • There's a potential element of irony in the fact that someone has fallen for AI’s “words and cues.” It suggests that the person may have been influenced or charmed, possibly without a deeper understanding of the reality of the situation. The contrast between the superficial allure and the consequences of losing one's head adds depth to the lyrics. I can relate this back to the theme of idolatry, where an idol can influence someone so easily with the unique charisma and popularity of being someone worshipped by millions, even with simple words like “I love you.”

      • The phrase "Made him lose his head over you" employs the metaphorical expression "lose his head," suggesting a state of infatuation or being deeply charmed by AI’s charisma. This creates a vivid image of someone being so affected by another person's words and cues that they become emotionally overwhelmed. This evokes the feeling of shock in me, as I would have never thought that an idol could so easily make someone fall in love with them, with simple yet powerful phrases or words that they perform.

    35. I don't have any idea how I could love anyone
I don't seem to know what it signifies
Cannot find out if it's true or it's a lie

These three lines are sung from Ai’s perspective and attempt to convey the message that being an idol can make your understanding of ‘love’ slowly fade away. As she commonly uses "I love you" in her performances for her fans (which is mentioned later in the song), it blurs her comprehension of love more and more, as she may struggle to discern whether it's a genuine emotion or simply another line in her performances to captivate her audience. I can relate this line, “I don't seem to know what it signifies,” to the theme of idolatry, highlighting that telling white lies to engage audiences in a more intimate way can also influence the way they perceive the world. After all, an idol performs to millions, and repeatedly uttering intimate phrases like “I love you” might make them feel indifferent when the sentiment is genuinely meant.

    36. So, now, answer this

The usage of "now" prompts for an immediate or swift response from Ai to her fans as they persist in prying out more and more details from her private life. If I were Ai, I would feel irritated that fans continually pester me for information about my private life. However, I would also feel helpless, recognizing that I have no other choice than to either answer or ignore the questions. Putting up an aggressive front against them could potentially ruin my reputation as an idol.

    37. Confusing, why, why, why?

The repetition in the “why, why, why?” may suggest that there is a large volume of fans who are questioning or interested in Ai for her personal life and her image as an idol, showing that Ai has an effective method to hook her fans for more popularity. It may also suggest that the fans are getting more and more interested and worked up by Ai’s vague responses to their questions, hence pursuing Ai to clear the cloud of confusion she has put out to the fanbase.

    38. Any seemingly unveiled secrets are as sweet as honey
      • The simile used here to show that AI’s “secrets” are “as sweet as honey” is suggesting that the seemingly revealed secrets are delightful to the fanbase since Ai is always so protective of her personal life. This makes the revealed secret rare and pleasurable to her fans.

      • The word choice of “unveiled” may suggest that Ai is doing it to hype up her fans to keep herself relevant, again showing hints of manipulation of the fan base for her fame and influence as an idol.

    39. That emotion melts all hearts, all eyes on you
      • "That emotion melts all hearts" personifies the emotion, showing that it has the intimacy and power of a human, illustrating how powerful Ai's emotions are when displayed or performed for her fans. It is able to "melt all hearts" and capture all attention.

      • "Melts all hearts" uses hyperbole to emphasize its overwhelming and all-encompassing nature, whether touching or mesmerizing Ai's audience. I can relate this to the theme of idolatry, suggesting that a successful idol or influencer in the performing industry must have the skill to captivate millions with everything they have, as the fanbase is crucial for sustaining the idol's career.

      • The anaphora used by repeating "all" in "all hearts, all eyes on you" amplifies the sheer scale of the number of people that are captivated, emphasizing the universality and inclusivity of the emotion. This evokes a sense of admiration in me, as it is not only impressive that Ai can capture and captivate so many people's attentions and emotions, but also the profound impact one emotion can make, as well as the numerous impressions that she can create, all by herself.

    40. Haven’t eaten anything
It's a secret

This is a reply from Ai to her fans, which shows her mysteriousness and thoughtful response to all the trivial questions, demonstrating her careful nature when it comes to answering inquiries. She doesn't want to give her fans any chance to tarnish her impeccable image by exposing more about her personal life. I can relate it to the themes of idolatry and expectations, that as an idol, they will always strive for the perfect portrayal in front of her fans, even if it means hiding facts and the truth from them.

    41. Essential lie, lie, lie

This line is sung from Ai’s perspective, as the repetition of “lie, lie, lie” suggests that she is using a large number of lies to cover up her imperfections. This implies that she is holding up an impression made and crafted with a significant amount of lies, as it is “essential” for her to build fame as the perfect and impeccable idol that many worship. I can relate this back to idolatry and deception, indicating that lies are sometimes needed to aid in the benefits of oneself and those in the surroundings to have someone to look up to. This is why idolatry and deception go hand in hand in the performing industry, as the performer themselves need to be polished into a product that others would be interested in.

    42. So unconcerned, although you brightly glow

The juxtaposition between "unconcerned" and "brightly glow" emphasizes the contrast between a carefree attitude and a noticeable, positive brightness. The word "unconcerned" suggests a lack of care and worry, while the phrase "brightly glow" implies a strong and radiant presence. This shows that although Ai is apathetic to the questions, her radiant presence negates the negative effects, allowing her to maintain her figure. This evokes a sense of jealousy in me, as Ai is able to escape criticism with her shining figure that millions admire, while ordinary people like myself have to endure criticism for our uniqueness unwillingly. I can relate this to the themes of Idolatry, suggesting that idols like Ai can use their fanbase to negate any criticism, albeit at the cost of the hard work needed to maintain the perfect image.

    43. Any questions you're facing, always acting so vaguely

This is the backlash of Ai's reply from her fans, as they are now angry and irritated that they're not getting any favorable responses from Ai, but rather replies that seem unconcerned. I can relate it back to the theme of idolatry, where idols can and will always make the biggest waves in the media, be it to capture attention or to spread news.

    44. What did you eat today?
What book do you love?
Whenever you go out for fun, tell me, where do you go?

These are questions from Ai's fans to her, as they try to catch up with Ai's activities by prying out every single detail in her life, as we can see from "What did you eat today?" and "What book do you love?" Both are very trivial questions, which would somehow have a lot of impact on her fans. I can link this back to the theme of idolatry, as people will try to be like their idol as much as possible since they see them as the perfect image.

    45. Dear Miss Genius Idol, unmatched
      • The salutation used in the first line, "Dear Miss" for Ai, or as referred to as the Genius Idol, creates a sense of intimacy or personal connection. This is to show that the fans think that Ai is very close to their hearts as their idol, and so they address her as "Dear."

      • Positive connotations of "Genius" and "Unmatched" portray Ai as extremely talented and without equal in their field. It evokes a sense of intimidation in me as "genius" and "unmatched" both suggest that Ai has great powers as an idol, indicating that she is superb in the performing industry with no competitor.

    46. Complete and perfect
All you say is a bunch of lies

The word choices "complete" and "perfect" give the positive image of Ai as an ideal idol, but the negative phrase "bunch of lies" in the next line shows juxtaposition between them. This can be explained as how Ai uses lies to portray herself as the "model idol" with the perfect character, so everyone will still worship her. I can relate this back to the themes of idolatry and deception, as the idol everyone worships should portray a positive image, but in reality, lies and deceptions are the only way of achieving the perfection the idol needs. This also reflects on the performing industry, where an image has to be built on the foundation of lies, as no one is truly perfect.

    47. Even that elusive side, part of her controlled area

The words "elusive side" may again suggest that Ai's personal life is well-hidden, and fans are unable to discover anything about her. It can also act as a hook for the fans, as they will continue to spend time researching her "hidden side," giving her the attention befitting an idol. As we can infer from "part of her controlled area," it may imply that she manages the dissemination of information available to her fans effectively. Alternatively, it could mean she is manipulating the fanbase by using her private life to maintain their attention and relevance.

    48. Couldn't beat her smile, it stirred up all the media

*The word choice of "beat" conveys a sense of competition, and when you can't beat something or someone, it shows that they are greater and more supreme, describing Ai in a way that no one can beat, once again highlighting Ai's character as "godlike" or untouchable.

*The word choice of "stirred," referring to Ai's smile, conveys chaos or a certain level of excitement or commotion, suggesting that the media's response to the smile was not just passive but involved heightened emotions or reactions, showing that Ai can make big waves with a simple action, once again demonstrating her large command of attention.

    49. Idol

idol /ˈʌɪdl/ noun plural noun: idols an image or representation of a god used as an object of worship. a person or thing that is greatly admired, loved, or revered. "a soccer idol"

In this case, it is referring to the idol named Ai, as mentioned in the last line of the chorus.
